We celebrated Mother's Day all weekend! And being my first Mother's Day I had no complaints, it was the perfect weekend.
I started my Saturday morning with Jazzercise with my mom, it's always nice going with her, we have a blast. I left about 7:10 and Cooper was still sleeping, go figure. I left Tom with a bottle figuring he would be up at anytime, well when I got home, here is what I came home to, it was the sweetest thing I've seen!
Tom and Cooper still laying in bed all snuggled up, he did eat his bottle then fell back asleep. Don't they both just look so peaceful??
Saturday afternoon, we had Tom's side of the family out to our house for Mother's Day, it worked out perfect that way we were not rushing around on Sunday. It was a beautiful day, the men got us fried Chicken from George and Dale's, a bar in East Dubuque, they also got us mashed potatoes, everything was delicious. Everyone brought something to snack on as well, of course all the food was so yummy. We spent most of the evening outside and later on that night we enjoyed a nice, big/huge, fire. Linda made all the mother's a little herb garden/plant, the herbs were planted in coffee cups so if we want we can replant them. It was so clever. I also got a special gift from Micayla along with a beautiful card. She got me a blooming flower and when it opens up it reads "You deserve a beautiful day" I love it!
Here are a few pictures of our evening. Cooper
really enjoyed himself as well.
Mom and Dad joined us as well!
Tom and I never seem to get our picture taken so I had Dad snap one for us.
Notice the hanging basket above the fire pit? My mom and dad bought me that for Mother's day, it's so beautiful, now I just hope I don't forget to water it. LOL
It started getting cool once the sun went down so we put Cooper in some warm jammies and a hat that matched but was too big. We bundled him up in his blanket that Great Grandma Nita made, it was so warm and cozy.
Great Grandma Nita!
Cooper fell asleep so we put him in his bouncer in the house and here's a picture of him, notice the big hat. LOL
And the fire getting started, it was a huge fire, Tom's uncle loves to put lot's of wood on. Dad brought Tom a new fire poker and it was so long but it worked out perfect because the fire got so hot!
Sunday morning I got up with my baby, I wanted to just snuggle with him all day and that's what we did most of the morning we took a couple of naps together and just relaxed. I got a few smiles out of him, he just melts my heart. I also got a special gift from Cooper, 2 new charms for my bracelet. I love it!
Later in the afternoon about 3:00 me, Tom and Cooper headed over to Grandma's, we thought we'd go early and take a little walk to Beechers to get some frozen yogurt/ice cream. Chris's boys were there so they walked along with us and each got an ice cream cone. They are such sweet boys!
Here we are outside at Grandma's, Cooper's enjoying the outdoors.
I feel so bad I didn't get anymore pictures at Grandma's, I forgot my camera and my phone just sat there. Oops. Anyway, it was a lovely, beautiful day. Each of us brought our own meat, we brought steaks, and mom and them made baked potatoes, green bean and mushrooms. The food was delicious!
This picture was taken on Friday, Tom and I asked Grandma Lynch to watch Cooper for about an hour, we wanted to go get pedicures, Grandma was more then happy to watch him as long as its not too long. I left her with a bottle that I had in the fridge and one from from the freezer, when I got back Grandma fed him what I had thawed and she said he ate that right down, this boy loves to eat and it doesn't matter how he's getting it! When we got back the Chris, Jake and Matt were there, Chris was trimming the lawn for Grandma. Cooper was getting hungry so I decided to thaw out the bottle and let Jake feed him, it was so sweet. These boys sure love their cousin!
