This weekend was our first time camping for the year. We gained a baby and lost a dog, it was hard not having Patches around that's for sure but we were pretty occupied with our little muchkin. He had so much fun.
We left Friday afternoon and met Micayla and Brandon there, they stayed home from school and work because of Patches, it was just too hard to stop thinking about her so we told them it was fine. So they met us up at Whitetail however they didn't stay because they were going to Great America the next day for Micayla's birthday.
Coopers first diaper change in the camper, we used the table here but ended up putting up the pack and play which has a changer and bassinet, this is where he'll be when we're camping, however I didn't get a picture of that. LOL
Brandon and Cooper hanging out.
Micayla put Tom's Cubs hat on Cooper, he loves his big sister!
Cooper just chilling on the couch, I think he just got done eating. Who knows what he's looking at but above the couch you can see out so I bet he was looking at the sky! It was a beautiful day, it was actually hot.
This was taken Saturday morning, Cooper was wide awake about 8am. He slept pretty good for being the first time in his pack and play and in the camper. He slept for about 4 to 5 hours then he was in the bed with us so I could feed him and we both fell asleep. I just love snuggling with this little guy.
And it turned out to be a beautiful day, we loaded up on the sunscreen and hung outside most of the day, expect for naps and feedings.
Here he's catching some rays with daddy. We need to find a hat for Cooper. He wasn't in the sun much he was mostly under the awning but we had to get him out for a while.
And nap time, this is on our bed, I laid down with him and took a nap as well.
And Saturday night, Tom and Linda came up for a while and Linda got Cooper to sleep about 7:30, I was hoping he would stay up but he must have been tuckered out from the day and we laid him down in his bassinet, no swaddle or anything, and he slept until 2:00 or so. I thought forsure he would be up early. Here he is on the video monitor while mommy and daddy are across the street at a campfire. It was so nice to be able to see him and everyone else was in awe as well! They all loved Cooper.
We can't wait for the next camping adventure, not next weekend but the following.
