Christmas stuff down!

Finally, all the Christmas stuff is down and put away. I know, it seems like forever ago since Christmas, but this was our first free weekend since Christmas. Now I have all this room and I don't know what to do with it. I'm sure that won't last too long.

Yesterday, I had the day off work. I have 3 casual and 3 sick days to use before we get let go. I accrue vacation each month, so that will vary. So I took a casual day yesterday to go with my friend Jody to get Lasik eye surgery. I went with her and her 2 daughters. It was fun. The appointment was in Brookfield, WI, about 3 hours from DBQ, we got there at 10 and she got right in. Although, it took a while when she got there, but we were out of the office at 1:00. We got to watch them cut her eye and all. It was pretty cool. Her one daughter did not watch, she had her head turned the whole time. I had this surgery done about 5 years ago. It was the best thing I think I have ever done! So after the surgery, we went to the hotel, because we had to back to the doc's office the next morning to check her eyes, so we got a hotel room. We dropped Jody off, so she could rest. They like you to sleep after the surgery, this helps the healing process, so her 2 daughters and I went for lunch to Subway and then to the mall to walk around. It wasn't a very big mall, so it didn't take us long, as none of us really had much money, so we just decided to drive around. The girls found a store they liked call ULTA? This was a really neat store. I have never been in one, but I'm ready to go back. I could have bought a lot of stuff in that store. Next to ULTA was a Pier One, so we walked through there. Didn't see much in there so then, in the same shopping center was Kirklands. This is one of my sister-in-laws favorite store, so we decided to walk through it. It's been a very long time since I have been in one. I found a few things, but decided not to buy anything. I really want to buy a full length mirror that sits on the floor and they had a really nice one. But oh well, next time. So, after that, we went back to the hotel to wake Jody up and then we decided to go out for supper after a while. We ended up eating at TGIFridays. It was pretty good. Not my favorite place, but it was good. Then back to the hotel and we all got our pj's on and layed in bed. We were in bed pretty early, but it was a great day.

So today's Saturday and we took Jody to her appontment and everything is great. She's 20/20 vision! She's amazed! We got home about noon and I met Tom down at his grandparents and we did a little running around and then got home and hit it hard. All the Christmas stuff is down and put away. We are just about to eat supper. We are making chicken breast with a french fried onion crust, a new concoction that Tom wanted to try. It smells delicious. I have to go put the potatoes on.. then we are picking Brandon up from the movies and going to meet Chris and Kristi out at Courtside. I guess Matt has practice and they have part of the gym rented so we might go and hang with them.
