Another chilly day

Well, school was canceled this morning because of the "rain" we were suppose to get. School did not get canceled until about 6:40 this morning. Micayla was already gone, because her friend picked her up and one there way to school, they heard on the radio that DBQ public and parochial schools are canceled. What?? Come on, it's not even raining yet! Well, it was to start around 9am, so they decided to cancel. Guess what? It didn't even hardly rain. Go figure huh?

So Brandon and Micayla spent the day at home. I heard Brandon tried to make smoothies, he called them protein smoothies, he found a recipe on the internet and decided to give it a try. Since we didn't have yogurt, he improvise with ice cream.. He used bananas too. I'm not sure how it tasted, but he did clean up the blender. See how bored the kids get when they are home all alone?

Tom took the John Deere test tonight and he said it went pretty good. I'm so excited. Hopefully he gets farther than me. I failed! Good luck honey..

I had a phone interview with Prudential today and it went great. The lady I spoke with was super nice and thought I would be a great asset to her company because of my experience at a call center. Not really my ideal job, but it will get me in the door and learn a new job. That's exciting to me. I guess I will have to take an assessment test on Monday to determine my skill level or something like that. I also have an interview on Friday with US bank. I'm really not sure about this one, but I'm going to give it a shot. I don't think I want to be a teller or whatever the position is. But the interview practice will be great. Who knows, right?

Tom and I have yet to receive our notices at work, but we are definitely ready for it. The new phone system we started using this week really sucks! It's just different than what we are used to and there are others "watching or listening" to us and it seems like we can't even get up out of our chair to go to the bathroom. I'm not talking about our supervisors here in DBQ, but everyone at the other facility. The place where all our calls are going. Anyhow, it sucks.. But, we just have to hang in there.

So, it's after 10 and I have to get up for Jazzercise at 4:45 so I'm off to bed. Unless school is canceled, again, then no Jazzercise at 5:45.
