Seafood Fettuccine!

Tonight we made seafood fettuccine, or I should say Tom made it, I boiled the noodles... We had my parents, Tom's parents and Grandma, we invited them all up for supper. We started with a great appetizer that Linda made, it was with tomatoes, some kind of olive that I don't remember what it was called, and feta cheese. She marinated it or something, I didn't quit get in the conversation that her and my mother were having. All I know is Mom wrote the recipe down. To top her appetizer, we had a lettuce salad to go with it. It was good... then the main course, Seafood Fettuccine. We made it with crab and shrimp and a little Bogle wine to go along with our meal, Old Vine Zinfandel , one of my favs.

It's always so nice getting everyone together, it seems we don't do it enough. Mom and Grandma came with gifts, I don't know why they do this, but Mom brought me a bouquet of carnations and Grandma bought me 2 fall theme hot pads, she must have know we needed them because we did. Grandma's just know, huh?

Today at work I sat with someone in Inside Sales, McGraw-Hill offers a career exchange program which allows you to sit and the other positions available with in the company. It's a great idea, because no one wants to go into a position not knowing what the job consists of so since any advancement within the company usually needs sales experience I thought I would check it out. I really enjoyed sitting with her, but I still don't know if it's for me, but than again I wouldn't know unless I tried it right? Well there is a position available and there will be another one open come January so I have time to think about it. I have mixed feelings about it and I talked to my boss about it and she's all for us advancing ourselves so I might talk to the Head lady in sales and see what she thinks. I like what I'm doing know, however, I feel I need more of a challenge and sales would definitely be a challenge because you have a goal to meet and if you don't meet goal then you don't get a bonus, it's as simple as that, so anyway, enough about what I'm thinking!

I'm ready for the week to be over, tomorrow we have a girl in our dept. leaving and it's her last day so tonight after work I went to pick up Betty Jane Caramel apples... I can't wait to have it. Work paid for it, so it's going to be that much better.
