Today was a great day for the us. I got up to teach 8:45 Jazzercise this morning, it was great, Linda, the newest Jazzerciser, taught her all the Aerobic songs she had to learn. Starting the 1st week of October she will be on her own. I'm so excited for her!
After Jazz, I stop at Tom's grandparents house, he went there after he dropped Brandon off for bowling, we sat there for a while then home I went. Once we got home, we decided to go up to the driver's license bureau to get Micayla's license. She's suppose to go 6 months and tomorrow, Sunday, would have been 6 months and unfortunately they are not open on Sunday's or Monday's so I said let's just go up and don't say anything, all they can say is NO. So as her and Tom were up at the counter, I was getting my license change to my new address. I know I haven't done it yet, but anyway they were checking the date of her permit and everything seemed fine, so he got her license! She was so excited, she had to work this afternoon so she was going to get to drive herself. I told her we would fill up her car for her, this time, next time she will have to. Well, Brandon wanted to go to his friends house, so now that Micayla's driving, she's going to be his personal taxi or I should say our taxi as well. So we left the house and I told her to meet us at Hy-Vee to get gas. I pulled out first and figured she was right behind us, well Tom and I were sitting and waiting for them to get there. On our way up Rockdale Rd. there was a cop sitting in one of the parking lots so we called her, I mean we called Brandon since she was driving, to warn her that there was a cop. Well, we waited and waited in the Hy-Vee parking lot and she didn't come. Tom kept trying to call Brandon but he wasn't answering his phone so off we went back up the hill and sure enough the cops got her for going 35 in a 25, not 20 minutes with her license! Of course, the cops were, you know what, but anyway poor Micayla, she was bummed and Tom and I just couldn't believe it!
We are heading out, blog more tomorrow!
