So since we stayed home, we always plan on getting things done around the house, but nothing got done! We were out and about, since we are not home on weekends much we always like to get out and about with friends and family, so Friday night Tom, Cooper and I went out for dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Los Aztecas, after that we headed down to Tom's parents and his mom and I and Cooper went to a 31 party at Tom's cousin's house. Tom and his dad headed to the casino. Linda and I had a good time, so did Cooper, we walked away with a couple of cute outfits from Hilary, that was the first time she has seen him. The outfits were so cute, we even got a Halloween pajama outfit, it's so cute!
That night, once we got home, around 9:00, Cooper had several naps because the car ride to the party was about 20 minutes so Cooper fell asleep on the way there and the way home, so buy the time we got home we not at all tired.
This at 10:30 at night! Momma was tired.
I finally picked him up and rocked him to sleep, which is what I usually do but he wanted nothing to do with it that night, then once I put him down and left the room, all he wanted was his momma, so it took about 10 minutes is all and he was out. But it wasn't a very good night, he was up at 4am! I just brought him in bed with me, we snuggled until about 7, he was up at 6, but there was no way I was getting up, I just laid there listening to him talk. It's so sweet wondering what they are talking about.
Saturday morning, we got up, got ready and headed downtown to market and to Tom's Grandparents house. We were invited to Tom and Linda's and my brother's house for the Hawkeye game so we went to Tom's parents for the first half and Chris and Kristi's for the 2nd half.
Cooper with Great Grandma Nita
Cooper and Micayla, the big rival, Iowa and Iowa State, Micayla is a State fan and you can tell what Cooper is. She has a cousin that plays for State, they won :(
Linda has Cheesy Chicken Tortellini soup for the game, it was so good. And mini panini's!
Check Cooper out on his hands and knees!
At halftime we packed up and headed to my brother's house, they were out on the deck watching the game, it was gorgeous out.
Cooper helping Chris drink his beer. Not really, but someday I'm sure it will happen.
We had steak and shrimp at Chris and Kristi's, it was all so good. She makes the best potatoes, I don't even know how to explain them but they are good! We headed home around 8:00. Cooper didn't sleep the best again, he was up at 4 and didn't get to bed until 9 or so. Not too bad, but not as good as he can be.
Sunday we got up, Grandma called about 10:00 and said she's coming out and pretty much hung up the phone, meanwhile Cooper was sleeping and she got out to the house and I told her not to wake him up, he's been crabby, she doesn't believe it, but it's true, not sure what's going on, but he slept until 12:15 or so. Then the 3 of us headed out to the mall and Kohl's guess who made out?? Yup, Cooper! We had fun and Cooper was exhausted, he's fell asleep around his normal time of 8:00 so I'm crossing my fingers he sleeps all night.
Here are just a few random pics from this past week. Here Cooper is holding his own bottle! I think he just likes to play with the nipple. He was making a mess. LOL
Trying to get a good pic to send to Steph so we could facetime! But she didn't get the message right away, that darn 2 hour time difference, gets us all the time. When we want to talk its dinner time and when they are ready to talk we're already in bed. We manage once in a while, it's just everyone is so busy. We can't wait for October, we're heading out to visit!
And Cooper in his John Deere outfit that his big sister got him, it's so cute!
