Saturday as I was "napping" with Cooper around 10:00 Tom came in and asked if I wanted to drive to Prairie, I was thinking the same thing, great minds think alike, so once Cooper woke up, which he was starting to, we got up and headed out. It was a gorgeous day, we took our names off the cook-off list and spent the day shopping and eating.
Coopers first ride in shopping cart, I sure wish I had my cart cover but didn't think we'd be shopping and let alone Cooper sitting in one already! Tom told him to hang on for dear life and that's just what he did. He didn't let go, it was so funny!
He even got to pick out a toy, a stuffed animal.
After Wal-mart and The Cannery one of my all time favorite places for knick knacky stuff, if you know what I mean. I got a few fall decorations. They also have a ice cream and fudge shop where we stopped for some ice cream and it was a good spot to feed Cooper. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After Cooper ate he played with Daddy while mommy finished her ice cream. Gotta love Moose Tracks!
After shopping in Prairie, we headed over to McGregor, IA, its just over the river about 5 minutes away and walked the streets there, a lot of Antiques, so nothing that really caught my eye, but we did stop and eat at a bar and grill, the Hawks were on, and it was right on the Mississippi. The food was yummy, nothing like a good greasy burger and french fries!
Sunday morning, this momma was tired and someone was not! And I don't mean Tom he was but I was up with Cooper about 3 times so Tom got up and played with Cooper while I rested. I think they were watching Bob the Builder.
Sunday we got home around noon and decided to make Chili, since we had bought everything to make it we thought we better, and it was oh so good! I swear Tom makes the best, as long as he doesn't add too much hot stuff.
Mom and dad stopped on their way home from camping and mom found this hat in Cooper's room, Linda bought it for him, and we had to get a pic of dad and Cooper.
My boy is growing up way too fast, he's going to be 6 months tomorrow! Can't wait to take his pictures, both professionally and the ones I take with his stickers. So be ready for picture overload tomorrow!
