This is our dining room, we had carpet in here and with a little one who loves to throw food or anything else on the floor we decided to replace this with a 'hard wood' lamanent which will carry on into the kitchen and laundry room.
Kitchen looking from the dining room and the door to the right is our laundry room.
Laundry room
From the kitchen looking into the front entry way, this was all getting the hard wood lamanent.
Finding a place to feed Cooper was challenging! See everything in the background?? It was a mess!
Here's the finished look of the floor!
We had one day, Wednesday, to get everything moved back into the kitchen/laundry room and everything out of the 2 bedrooms. I didn't get a picture of this but Cooper slept in his bed in the living room, they did both bedrooms in one day, then we had to put everything back in the rooms and move everything out of the living room. Exhausted yet??
Everything is stashed in the kitchen.
But it was all worth it, here are the after shots. We love everything!! I love knowing there is no more dog hair on the floor, or pee and puke stains from the dog and when we're down on the floor with Cooper, we know it's clean!
The room straight back is Cooper's room and off to the right is Micayla's they both got new carpet too, all the same carpet. We did not do anything with the bathroom, that's off to the left.
We also got a new stove and refrigerator/freezer. We got the one with the french doors and don't know how we've ever lived without it, it's the best!! We got those back in January. But here you can actually see them along with the new flooring.
The view of the new carpet from the kitchen area
There is one thing left to do and that's paint around the trim in the dining room area, where there was once carpet, the trim sat up higher so when they laid the flooring and put the trim back on, you can see where the paint stopped, so that's on our list to do to finish that up. Boy do we hate to paint! But once we get going, I might paint the laundry room and our bedroom, we'll wait and see.
