Cooper's Snowman

Yesterday was another snow day! We love these and really look forward to them. Thankfully my job lets me work from home so it's a no brainer. Who would want to go out in this anyways???

Brandon's chore for the day was to keep up with the snow. He's shoveling the back porch, just a path to the bird feeders. Tom loves to feed his birds. Cooper was still not feeling the best and didn't want to be put down much so while Brandon was out shoveling I set him in front of the door to watch Brandon. After Brandon was done shoveling he decided to make Cooper his own personal snowman. He's so sweet!

I told him to bring it inside so Cooper could play with it. He didn't quite know what to do with it so he just stared at it.
Isn't it just the cutest thing? Brandon tried to find something for a nose and eyes but didn't have much luck.

Tom's uncle posted the above picture on YouNews I don't think it made the news but it's out there for people to see. Plus I submitted it to our local paper as well. Who knows he might be famous one day!

Weekly update

I am summing up our week in one post. I've been so bad about blogging lately and I have a few pictures I want to get out there so here goes.

Last Friday we stayed home and just hung out around the house. Cooper is in love with all this toys he got from Christmas and he's learning to dance along with all the music they play. (I'm going to figure out how to upload a video) I have such a cute one!

We hung out at Great Grandma's house for a little while Saturday morning. Cooper decided to take a nap, he's laying on my scarf. LOL

After Grandma's we did some running around then went to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings

He got to color!!

Sunday we headed to Madison to look for carseats. Cooper is outgrowing his infant seat and we don't have any baby stores, other than Target, so we went to Babies R' Us and found 2 carseats. Our goal for this weekend is get them installed in our vehicles. He's just getting way too heavy to be lugging around.

We stopped at Red Lobster on our way home! Cooper loved the cheddar bay biscuits!

Someone was getting very sleepy!

Monday we had the day off of work in honor of MLK, however we started getting the sickness back and Tuesday I got the call that Cooper started throwing up. Poor little guy. So we pretty much laid around all day on Monday, plus it was super cold out so we were OK with that.

Same as last time! I did not take him to the doctor and I think maybe I should have. I'm hoping today is the last day of it. It started Tuesday morning at daycare, I got a call saying Cooper puked so after a meeting I had at work I took off and picked him up. He was running a fever, poor little guy! I probably should have taken him to the doctor but I didn't. These 2 pictures were taken yesterday. I stayed home from work as well as I know have a cold! Cooper and I just keep passing it back and forth.

Here he is napping, it's crazy how he can sleep like this but he sleeps better like this than if he's laying normal. LOL

I'm hoping for a healthy weekend, its Daddy's birthday day weekend!!!

10 Month's Old!

How is it my little man is 10 months old?? He's no longer in single digits, it's all down hill from here. Just kidding!!

Here are a few things I want to remember about your 10 months of life.

  • You are still wearing size 3 Pampers Cruisers.
  • You're still in 9 month clothing, 12 month is just a little big yet and there are no in-between.
  • You celebrated your first Thanksgiving and Christmas. You had so much fun at Christmas and you loved all your presents. Santa was sure good to you!
  • I can finally say you have teeth! We waiting for a long time for these but that's OK. You have one that popped out about a week ago, the bottom right and the bottom left is right behind it, that will be up in the next couple of days.
  • You experienced your first sickness and mommy had to take you to the doctor :( You were sick, throwing up sick, for 3 1/2 days, it wasn't fun. And you gave whatever you had to mommy. You were tested for influenza and strep, both came back negative so Dr. Adkins said it was just a bug. The next day you were feeling much better. You stayed home from daycare all week to make sure you didn't pass it to any other kiddos.
  • You love bath time!! Santa brought you some bath toys and you could sit in there all day and just play.
  • You hate getting your diaper changed, not that you hate it, you just don't like to lie still. It's very challenging trying to get your diaper changed. I'm getting pretty good and quick at it.
  • You are a talking machine! You are saying mamamama and dadadadada. Micayla is trying to get you to say kaykay and Brandon is trying to get you to say bubbabubba. You just laugh at them, it's so darn cute.
  • Brandon and Micayla are two of your favorite people. You smile so big when they come home or up the steps, it's so cute! You love to grab Micayla's glasses and Brandon's hats!

  • You have moved up to the big kids room at daycare. You are now in Wipper Snapper Way, that's the name of the room. LOL is the transitional room. So you are one of the youngest. I think 2 more younger ones joined you this past week so you can show them the ropes.
  • At daycare, you sometimes take 2 naps. I prefer you take 2 naps but sometimes they only put you down for one. You are sleeping on a cot in this room and sometimes when I come to feed you, you are sleeping and you look like such a big boy sleeping on a cot.
  • This month you've been crying when I drop you off at daycare, this makes me sad but I've been told it doesn't last for long.
  • You are still exclusively breastfed. I've said this that last couple of month, but this month has been the hardest for me. I'm pumping twice at work and I'm only getting 1 bottle about 5 sometimes 6 ounces. So with me only pumping one bottle, that means you're only getting one bottle at daycare. But I'm trying something new starting today, I'm drinking some 'mother's tea' I'm hoping it helps, but boy it's awful! I'm not a tea drinking but I thought I'd give it a try just for you.
  • You are also eating table food and just about everything we eat. At daycare you are eating the lunch they provide, such as Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chicken alfredo and peas, that's just to name a few this week. There isn't much you don't like. You don't care for your puffs anymore, I think it's because you now know there are better snacks out there, such as Cheerios. I think they are your new favorite snacks.
  • You are a pretty good napper and you sleep great at night. Most nights you sleep all night long and don't even wake up for your pacifier. I love you for this!!
  • Your pacifier is usually not too far out of your reach. You will find one and just stick it right in your mouth. I only like you to have it while sleeping but I figure since you're teething it probably feels good on your gums so I let you go with it.

  • You love your new chair you got for Christmas!
  • You are outgrowing your car seat. We are going car seat shopping in the next couple of days. I think you'll be more comfortable in a bigger seat plus you are getting too heavy to carry around.
  • You are crawling so fast now and you move around the house just looking for something to get in to. You love playing with doors, you will go into the bathroom and just swing the door back and forth, when you finally close it, with the lights out and all, you'll just sit there until someone comes to find you. We usually know where you are.

  • You love sucking in your bottom lip, it's so funny. We'll say "let me see your teeth" and you'll suck your lips in so we can't see. You're such a little twirp!

  • You love your daddy, but he'll say it's only when I'm around, but I know you love him and you love to snuggle.

  • Look at all those toys! You are one spoiled little boy.
  • Your favorite toys lately are your farm house, you love the noises it make. You love your puppy that you can walk behind and you love your bike, see below.

  • And lastly you love playing in the pots and pans cabinet. You can play in there for hours, well not really, at least 20 minutes or so.

And just a few more randoms one for the day. Your 10 month birthday was yesterday and you fell asleep too early so we got up early today to get them in. Not early by my choice!

We were trying to get you to put 10 fingers out to tell how many months you are. You were looking at daddy like he was crazy.

Oh and a few more with your cloths on. You are playing with my chapstick, a new favorite.

And once we got home from grocery shopping you crawled over to help daddy put the groceries into the fridge. You're such a big help.

Then it was supper time. You've actually already ate your carrots and I finished it off with a cracker but you were full. We are getting some sign language down. When we say "all done" you wave your one arm. I think that's what you mean when you do that. When we say "more" and "eat" you look at us and laugh. I know they are working on this with you at school so I think you'll be picking it up in no time.

Cooper you are at such a fun age right now. I could just sit and play with you all day long. You are finally starting to give kisses too and my heart melts every time. I will say "give me a kiss" and you lean in with your mouth wide open and touch my cheek or wherever you land. It's so darn sweet!! I can't believe I am thinking about planning your 1st birthday party, it will be here before we know it! I love you more than you can ever imagine and I can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Life lately!

There are just so many things going on lately and I have so many things going on in my head, I don't know or have the time to get it down on paper, or I should say my blog.

Let me start with Cooper, he's such a sweetie. He is getting so big and tomorrow he turns 10 months. He all over the house!! He finally popped a tooth up, I completely forgot to blog it. It happened this past Monday or Tuesday. We've been watching them, yes them, there are 2 that we can see. The one has popped through and I can feel the "rough" edges, the other will be up in the next couple of days. I've tried to get pictures but you know, that's not easy.

Last week Cooper caught some kind of bug, he started throwing up Monday night and didn't stop until Thursday! By Wednesday, I got what he had, it wasn't fun. We were both throwing up and finally decided on Thursday to go to the doctor. I had called Tuesday and they just said to take it easy with food and if he keeps throwing up to call. It seemed like the only times he threw up was after drinking any liquids, including breastmilk! So we tried lots of things, he seemed to keep down toast and crackers so that's pretty much what he lived on for 2 days. I did still breastfeed him in the mornings just to check and sure enough I was washing my sheets again.  It was a long week!! But he's so much better now and getting his appetite back, he even seemed to have lost some weight, poor guy.

He took lots of naps!

Once we were both feeling better, Friday, we still stayed home that day. I worked from home and Cooper got his energy back and caught up on playing with all his toys and looking out the windows checking out the squirrels.

And he helped Mommy vaccuum, he wanted to be held a lot while being sick so Friday when we were feeling better, I put him in the BJorn because it was just sitting there, and we vaccuumed.

By the weekend we were out and about. We all went to Champs for lunch, including Brandon and Micayla then afterwards they wanted to go bowling so off to Creslanes we went. Cooper had fun playing with the ball keeper and sitting on the swivel chairs.

The fan was blowing up and blowing Cooper's hair, it was so funny.

Here is just a random picture of Coop playing with his new walking toy. He loves it. Look how big my little man is getting!

Tom took this down at the bowling alley where Brandon bowls for school.

Enough about Cooper, I seem to blog about him all the time, not that I mind but some of you might want to know what else is going on with my life and my family, so onto Dad. He's been doing awesome! He goes in tomorrow for another round of Chemo. He says he feels good, he gets tired but he rest when he needs to. He's been having a great appetite and has great spirits! We are still praying hard. The last test came back telling us the Chemo has shrunk some and there are no new spots! So that was some great news! He loves seeing his kids and Grandkids and seems he can't get enough! I try to take lots of pictures when we're up there but Cooper is just not into the picture thing lately, but I did get one last night.

Not sure if everyone knows but my position at McGraw-Hill is being eliminated! We found out about a month ago and we have until March 29th. I am very hopeful that I will find a new position within McGraw-Hill. If I don't I know I'll be OK. It's been very stressful lately, we have been super busy. January is the busiest month of the year and with us knowing we are losing our job, its hard. I have a great team and I know everyone will succeed after this. So this is one reason for the lack of blogging, just too much on my mind and by the time I get Cooper in bed, I"m exhausted and I just don't feel like blogging, but here I am after 10:00 and I feel great to get everything off my chest. Not that I'm complaining but I love writing it.

And one last picture to leave you with! (Look at our hair!)

Are we not sexy or what??? We were going through pictures at Grandma's last week looking for pictures of Uncle Bill who suddenly passed away 2 weeks ago tomorrow with a massive heartattack. It was such a shocker and my heart goes out to the Ryan family. Bill was my mom's brother-in-law. Erica, his daughter, and I are pretty close. We are the only 2 girls in the Lynch family, there is Lexi but Erica and I are older and have been pretty close for a long time. I'm glad I was there to help and lend an ear. I know she'd do the same for me.

We will sure miss Bill!
