Well, that sums it up, we ran all weekend! Not really but it sure seems we were all over.
First of all Friday after work I subbed for my friend Linda at Jazzercise, she does an express class on Friday's and it's always a fun class. The class is only 30 minutes, right when you think you're just getting started you're done! After Jazzercise I met Tom at his Grandparents, we were headed to Lacoma, not to golf, but for the awesome fish fry. They have one of the best fish fries around, next week there's a fish fry at the Moose, so we'll be heading up for that. Tom's mom and I had the baked fish and it was delicious, we're trying to eat a little more healthier. I started the special K diet last Monday and I was doing pretty good, I didn't lose any weight, but I can tell I'm not eating as much and think that's the point, to eat smaller portions. Micayla started it with me too, I'm not sure how she been doing lately, all I know is she was starving, so was I, but we made it one week and now we have one more. We can do it!
Saturday started with a trip to Davenport, I started my period early, again, I'm not sure what's going on with that, but as long as I'm into March, I'm good to go, so on day 3 of my cycle, the doctor wanted to do an ultrasound, they wanted to look at my uterus and ovaries, it was very interesting to say the least. My appt. was at 9:30 so Tom and I left here about 8:15 and got there with plenty of time to spare. I walked into the office and it seemed like no one was there, we waited for about 5 minutes and all I kept thinking was "is this the place I'm supposed to be at?" I didn't remember the nurse telling me any different so we waited. Finally the technician came out and said they are pretty behind because of some computer problems, no biggie, we were occupied with scrabble, thank God. Although I could have used an extra hour of sleep, but not that big of a deal. So about 10:30 we were called back and away she went. They inserted a scope up to look at the uterus lining and to check each ovary. They were really looking for any cysts or abnormalities. The technician was super nice, she was new to the practice and talked me through everything. It was kind of funny because as she's hold the scope her one computer screen went blank and all I was thinking was "how in the heck is she going to be able to sign back in while holding the scope" LOL I almost asked if she wanted Tom to help. So as she was looking around, she said everything looked good. I had plenty of follicles on my ovaries, I guess the follicles house the eggs when they become fertilized. My left ovary didn't want to come out but she found it. Oh and my uterus lining was good, she said everything was great and that she didn't see anything that would prevent me from conceiving. That was awesome news, now we just have to wait for Dr. Figge to look at the scans. I also gave them my CD of my fallopian tubes, so I'm looking forward to a call the next couple of days.
So after all that, they wanted me to start another dose of clomid, my blood work came back the other day and I definitely did not ovulate. The next step is to do one more IUI this cycle and that should be sometime around the end of them month. I have to do a couple more blood test once I'm done with my Clomid cycle but other than that, everything can be done in DBQ! So more on that when the time comes.
Speaking of getting pregnant and all that, tonight I caught up on one of my new favorite shows, One Born Every Minute, OMG this show is amazing. I think I cried 3 times just watching one show and I watched 3 of them, but wow, all I can say is when that baby comes out I bet it's the best feeling in the world and that's one thing that I can't wait to be a part of.
After the doctors office, Tom and I were starving, we wanted something different and something we don't have at home. We drove to Moline first and went to the John Deere store, I got a new T-shirt and Tom got a couple of shirts, he gets a discount and wow, they have a ton of stuff, especially kids stuff, holy cow. We bought Leah a JD t-shirt for Christmas and I thought that was cute but you should have seen some of these shirts, they were adorable. I can't wait to spoil my new niece or nephew and my own! We couldn't find anything to eat in Moline so we drove back to Davenport and ate at Chili's, it was very good. We walked through Gordman's then headed home, it was about 3:00 at this time and mom called us to invite us up for steaks and I don't think we'd ever turn down steaks. I bought a couple Eastery things for the yard and an outdoor cushion for my bench in the front of the house. I didn't know for sure if it was going to fit but it fit perfectly! I would have liked to sit outside last night and watch the moon, but we had to get up super early Sunday morning.
Once we got back to DBQ we stopped at Tom's parents to help fix there dishwasher and once that was done his dad was heading up to the Moose for a drink so Tom and I decided to go and have one too. I had a bloody mary and it was so good! We got up to mom and dad's around 6:00 just in time to eat. Grandma was up for supper too. I got there boarding passes all printed out, this was the reason we got invited up for supper. There's always a reason, but we don't mind! LOL
Mom and Grandma's flight was at 7:15 out of Madison, we were on the road at 4:30, it was lightly raining but it was a good drive, not a lot of traffic. We got them all settled and on there way. Tom and I ate a Denny's for breakfast then went to see if any stores were open, unfortunately nothing was open. I guess we saved some money that way, so we headed back home. We got home about 10:15 or so and the rest of the day was super lazy. I did laundry and caught up on my shows. I wanted to take a little nap but I just didn't fall asleep, I was busy playing scrabble too.
The week ahead doesn't look too exciting, I think the weather is finally starting to turn so Tom and I are going to get out and do some walking.
