16 Weeks

Today I am 16 weeks pregnant!
I couldn't figure out which picture I like better so here's both.

Size of Baby: Baby H is now about the size of an Avocado and measures 4 1/2 inches long and weighs
 3 1/2 ounces.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I'm +5 at my appointment Tuesday, but I had my tennis shoes on, so going forward I'm just going to weigh myself at home every Wednesday. LOL

Baby's heartbeat at last visit: 119 BPM

Maternity Clothes: Most of the time! They are just so much more comfortable, however I'm in need of more shirts, especially work shirts. I think I need to make a trip out of town since we don't have much in Dubuque for maternity clothes.

Gender: We will be finding out on November 26th at our Gender Reveal Party!

Movement:  Nothing yet but patiently waiting.

Sleep: I've been sleeping great! I usually have to get up once a night to go to the bathroom but other than that I've been sleeping great.

What I Miss: Besides beer, there nothing that I really miss, not much makes me turn up my nose but every time I eat I feel so full afterwards so I think I need to cut back on how much I'm eating. Especially sweets!

Cravings: Still nothing major, but I feel like I'm hungry ALL the time.

Symptoms: Monday afternoon I started having some right side pain and later that afternoon I was having some lower abdominal pain. I thought maybe I just over did it at Jazzercise but the pain just wouldn't go away. It wasn't anything major but a dull achy pain. I went to bed early Monday night and hoped to wake up feeling great however the pain was still there. I was nervous but since I wasn't bleeding or anything I had some relief and knowing my doctor's appointment was that afternoon was a relief as well. If I didn't have an appt. I would have been calling to get me in. Come to find out my dull achy pain is my belly stretching thanks to the doc confirming that and today I feel great!

Best Moment This Week: Getting to hear our baby's heartbeat. It's the best sound and I'm so glad everything is OK. We could hear every time baby H moved, the doctor said he/she's an active baby.

We also celebrated Tom and Linda's 40th wedding anniversary with a surprise party at our house, it was a great day and I think they really enjoyed themselves.

40th Wedding Anniversary

Saturday was Tom and Linda's 40th wedding anniversary and we decided to do something special for them, throw them a little surprise party. It wasn't really a surprise for Linda because somehow she got included in on an email that her sister was sending to me. We're not quite sure how it happened but she felt terrible. It was no biggie, she probably would have figured it out anyways. The surprise was that she didn't realize who we all invited. We had a wonderful turn out and we thank everyone for making there day special.

Everyone is here and waiting for the guests of honor.

And they're here!

We had a great night with lots of great food. We even got to sit out by the fire, unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that, it was a great fire and a great night.

Friday night was another great night, Tom and I went out to dinner with 2 couples that live in our neighborhood and all 3 of us are pregnant. I'm so glad we are all getting to know each other because come next summer we'll have to have lots of play dates with our kids. It will be so much fun.

Now tonight is the Bear's game, let's hope for a victory so Tom has a good night at work. LOL We have our doctor's appointment Tuesday, I can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat, it's a great sound plus it's refreshing knowing my baby is doing great. Some day's I just don't have any symptoms or anything and it makes me wonder sometimes. But I try not to think about the negative things, I know everything is fine!

15 Weeks

Size of Baby: Baby H is now about the size of an apple and measures 4 inches long and weighs
 2 1/2 ounces.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm afraid to step on the scale. I will start weighing myself after my next doctor's appointment which is next Tuesday. I was +3 at my last appt.

Movement: No, nothing yet, but I'm patiently waiting.

Sleep: I've been sleeping great! I usually have to get up once a night to go to the bathroom but other than that I've been sleeping great.

What I Miss: I can honestly say I miss beer, I think I've been missing this since the beginning but never really thought about it while I'm writing this but today for some reason I'm thinking about it. The NA stuff just doesn't cut it.

Cravings: Nothing major, just that I feel like I'm hungry ALL the time.

Symptoms: Nothing yet

Best Moment This Week: Celebrating Tom's Grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary along with his parent's 40th and his aunt, Shari and Bob's 30th wedding anniversary. The whole family went to The 3 Mile House Saturday night. It was great having everyone together to celebrate! And the birth of my nephew, Lane, he made an early debut. He's such a little peanut, I can't wait to meet him, too bad it's not sooner but thank God for technology so we'll be able to skype and see him.

This was in the paper on Saturday:

Thieves

So Friday I took a half day off work, a much needed one at that, to head up to the camper. The weather was beautiful and it was just Tom and myself. When we got there Tom noticed the door to be partially open and said "someone's been in here" and sure enough, someone was in our camper. The TV in the back was gone! All the cabinets and drawers were open like they were looking for something, not sure but we're guessing liquor or money, none of which we have in the camper. The liquor we keep is out in our outdoor kitchen which wasn't touched. The one TV that came with the camper that swivels and comes off to take outside was not touched. We are thinking they couldn't figure out how to get it off the swivel part.  So lucky for us all they took was a 19/20 inch flat screen TV. Oh and my pink beach bag! I'm assuming they took the bag to fit the TV in because it would have been about the perfect size. I had some tanning lotion and a visor/hat in the bag and that was lying on the floor. Weird huh?

We ended up calling the owners of the campgrounds just to report it and sure enough we weren't the only ones. The owners new of another one because one of them noticed a window busted out of someones camper but didn't bother to check anything else, well, the 5 campers all along our row were all broken into and all TV's were missing and one WII machine and about 25 games. Everything has been reported so hopefully someone can catch these thieves!

Other than that the weekend was perfect. We only stayed up there Friday night. It was the last hoorah for Whitetail Bluff, they ended the season with some good music and a few give aways, however you had to be present to win and your electric bill had to be paid. So we got everything paid and our names put in the drawing. They give away 3 - $200 voucher for next year and a few other things, that's the biggie. Well, I tried to stay awake but I just couldn't do it, so I went to bed and Tom waited up until Midnight and the men I guess all went up. The girls all crashed like me. Tom ended up winning a bottle of Absolute Vodka, it was a flavored kind but I can't remember what it was, something different. Well the bottle was half gone, I guess they decided to pass the bottle around. I can admit I don't like camping as much when I'm not drinking, but I do enjoy the relaxation of it all, just the nighttime when everyone is well on there way. LOL

We slept in on Saturday because we didn't have to home early, however it was so nice outside we decide to pack up around noon and head home to get a few things done around the house.

Saturday night we got ready for a special dinner at The 3 Mile House in honor of 3 special anniversary's. First was Tom's Grandparents' 60th, Tom and Linda's 40th and Bob and Shari (Tom's aunt) I think there 30th, now I can't remember. LOL But there were about 27 of us in the 3 Mile and I thought it was going to be crazy but I was very impressed, we got in and out in about an hour. I bet Nitty loved it, I think she was itching to get to the casino. I ordered Steak and Crab and it was to die for! Tom had Steak and Shrimp and Brandon had a cheeseburger. After dinner they all headed to the casino and Tom and I and Brandon headed home. I'm going to post pictures once I get them, for some reason my email on my phone is not working so I can't send anything to myself, it drives me crazy.

Sunday was another fantastic day, we got a lot of cleaning and laundry done. I got to wash all my rugs and hang them out to dry along with our sheets. I love the smell of fresh clean sheets!

Big week ahead - stay posted!

14 weeks - 2nd trimester!

Size of Baby: Baby H is now about the size of a lemon and measures 3 1/2 inches long and weighs
 1 1/2 ounces.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm afraid to step on the scale. I will start weighing myself after my next doctor's appointment. I was +3 at my last appt.

Maternity Clothes: Most of the time! They are just so much more comfortable than my regular clothes.  I don't have to wear maternity pants yet but I have just because I hate when my buttons dig into my belly with my regular pants and it's so uncomfortable. I started to wear a belly band this week and it's a miracle, it works awesome and is so comfortable, so I can wear my regular pants with the belly band.
As for shirts, I need to get a few more work shirts!
Gender: We will be finding out on November 25th or 26th at our Gender Reveal Party!

Movement: No, nothing yet, but I'm patiently waiting.

Sleep: I've been sleeping great! I usually have to get up once a night to go to the bathroom but other than that I've been sleeping great.

What I Miss: I can't think of anything right now, my energy is coming back. I have been staying up past 9:00 so that's a plus! I'm hoping now that I'm in the 2nd trimester I will get my energy back.

Cravings: Again, I haven't really had any cravings. Every once in a while I'll want something sweet but that's about it.

Symptoms:Nothing yet, but I have been getting headaches a lot more, not sure if I'm not getting enough water or what but I just deal with it. I'm still afraid to take any tylenol or anything like that.

Best Moment This Week: Noticing my belly getting bigger and people actually noticing it. Also, I bought my first pack of diapers - Pampers Swaddlers. Oh and buying my first Coach purse, my push gift! LOL and finding a pair of maternity jeans that fit perfectly, thanks go Macy's (Motherhood).

Pumpkin Patch

So I've said before that we have a pumpkin patch growing in our front yard and here's proof.

So you see the 2 little pumpkins on the corner of our porch? Yell last year the neighbor kids brought us a couple of pumpkins about that size, they grew a pumpkin patch, well over the fall and winter we never threw out the pumpkins and one of the pumpkins fell in our flower/shrub bed and wala, a pumpkin patch grew from one small pumpkin. As you can see its growing like crazy. We have about 6 big pumpkins that need to be picked. It's amazing how this thing grew, Tom you take the vines and wrap them around so our whole yard was not covered otherwise it would have been.

Another random picture is of our mum plant we planted last fall and it grew like crazy, it's huge!

Busy Busy Weekend

That it was a very busy weekend. Friday night Tom and I went to Gary and Erica's for supper. We have been wanting to go over to check out there newly remodeled basement and for me a few maternity clothes that Erica had. It was kind of a last minute thing since we didn't really plan it until Thursday night, so we decided to grill out steaks. We brought our own steaks and decided to bring a dessert as well. We didn't have time to make anything so we stopped at Hy-Vee for some Oreo fluff, it was delicious and I knew Taylor would like it. We dropped Brandon off at work at The Moracco and down to Hy-Vee we went. We had to stop back at home because we didn't bring a cooler with us and thought we probably should and I grabbed a few small pumpkins off our pumpkin patch, more pics on this to come, to give to Taylor and Ryan. I thought they, well Taylor, might enjoy one.

The steaks were cooked to perfection and Erica make hashbrown casserole and a green bean casserole, both were to die for. After dinner we sat around and talked and once the kids were in bed, we headed down to the basement. It was beautiful and a lot of what they did is exactly what we want to do so we got the name of the contractor they used so we'll give them a call one of these days to get an estimate. First we have to call Spahn and Rose to draw us up an outline of what we want, we have an idea of what we want but we need it down on paper. I'll be so excited to get it started so when the baby comes we will have an extra room for Micayla or Brandon so the baby will have his/her own room as well. First we have to start with the window wells, that's a must to make everything legit. Only if we do one room I would be fine with that but if we start me might at well finish. Well we will see, it all depends on $$$$ I hate that word so I'll just use dollar signs. We only have 6 more months until this baby is born. OMG that is crazy!

Tom and I left Gary and Erica's around 10:30, I was exhausted and still had to pack for my trip to Schaumburg on Saturday, so we headed out and headed home. I think we could just talk and talk with them, they are such great company and they are wonderful with there kids. I couldn't believe how good they went down for bed. LOL

Saturday morning I was up at the butt crack of dawn as some people call it. LOL 4:45am for me, just like I was getting up for Jazzercise but instead I hoped in the shower to wake myself up. I was driving us, Me, Shelly, Julie, Judy and Linda, to Schaumburg for a Jazzercise district meeting which started at 10:30. The tog/clothes shopping started at 9:30 so we all like to check that out. We met at Hy-Vee at 6:00 and were on the road by 6:15, not too bad. It only took us about 2 1/2 hours to get there and only one potty break. The meeting however we pretty boring, they didn't have any "real" food, all they had was snacky food like fruit and yogurt, string cheese and later they brought out cookies and soda. This momma was HUNGRY! We didn't really eat any breakfast on the way because we thought we'd have had more food there but nope, so all I ate was a few piece of zucchini bread before I left home. They also had apple juice and water. The meeting lasted until 3:00 or so, the last 45 minutes was a Pure Muscle class that we all participated in. I wasn't really into it but did what I had to do to get through it. It's a specialty class Jazzercise is offering, it's a good class.

After the meeting we went to check into our hotel, usually we'll go back home, but this time we decided to stay the night and do a little shopping. Once we changed we headed out for dinner. We were all starving by then. We decided on PF Changs, it was yummy, however the dinner I ordered I probably wouldn't order again but everything else was great! Since the restaurant was in the mall we decided to stay and shop at the mall. We hit a few stores such as Pandora, a few girls have these bracelets and so do I know but I didn't have mine on at the time, but Shelly got her's cleaned and it looked brand new again, amazing. Across from that store was Coach! I've been eying a Coach purse for a while and I told Tom I might buy one, he didn't really say much so I looked and of course found the cutest one and fell in love. I did not buy it right on the spot, we ended up going to a few other stores. I wanted to hit Motherhood but there wasn't exactly just a Motherhood store, they had one in Macy's so off to Macy's we went and as we were entering the store there was another Coach purse just like at the Coach store but with 25% off! Cha-ching. LOL Again we were there for maternity jeans but had to check it out and again decided to come back! I finally found the Motherhood/Pea in a Pod store. I found the perfect jeans! I'm so happy with them and I had 4 mothers there to give me a ya or a nah and they all liked one better than the other. It was so cute watching them. There was another girl next to me in the dressing room and she looked like she was going to pop so I asked her when she was due or how far along she was and she was only 26 weeks however she was carrying twins, 2 boys! She didn't look like she was having fun trying on clothes, I think she was trying on bra's and we all know that's never fun! I know soon I'll be looking for one. So I bought me a pair of jeans, I still have a few pairs coming from Old Navy, the ones I got the other day were too long so I ordered the short style and I will take these others back to the store.

So after Macy's we headed to NY&Co. Julie found a few pairs of pants and she got a 50% off so she made out. She's tall and has a hard time finding dress pants and she made out and  had luck with 3 pairs of pants. She was the big spender as of that point. I guess it was a game. NOT!

After the mall we headed to Crate and Barrel but they were closing at 8:00 so we didn't do much shopping there. We headed over to Home Goods and The Container Store, I bought a few things at the Container Store but nothing at Home Goods, I was still dwelling on the Coach purse I liked so much. After those 2 places we decided to head back to the hotel, it was about 9:30 but first we wanted dessert! We found a baskin Robbins, the ice cream was delicious. I had 2 scoops of Snickers ice cream. We headed back to the hotel and I think I was sleeping by 10:45 I was exhausted! And I had to think/dream about this purse. When I talked to Tom he was surprised I didn't buy it so that told me I might as well just buy it because it will be the last big thing for myself before the baby comes.

So Sunday morning, we all decided to head back to Macy's to get this purse, heck it was $75 off! We first went to Denny's for breakfast, I had Moon Over My Hammies Omelet and it was so good. The mall opened at 11:00 and we wanted to be on the road around noon, Shelly had to teach in "an hour" actually at 5:45 that evening. It's a saying we always use to the person who has to teach the next class. So when we got to Macy's the 25% sign was not there. I had a feeling about this, I guess it was a One Day Sales, we all know about these, so thanks to my 4 mother's with me, we talked to the clerk who was head of that department and she gave me the discount! Yep that's right, I bought the purse! I really wanted a wallet/billfold to go with it, but I couldn't see spending just about as much as the purse itself cost. However, I almost did just bite the bullet. I went back to Coach because Macy's didn't have any wallets so we headed back upstairs, thank God they were close to each other, to look at the wallets. I just said "whatever" and went in line to buy it, however the long wait I had made up my mind, I put it back and said I can find something else! So off we went. The girls didn't know what I was doing but Shelly figured it out, they made me think about it too long, and I guess the clerk at the store was shocked that I left. Sorry!

So I was the big winner in the shopping game! LOL and a proud owner of a new Coach purse!

That night when I got home I went up to Mom and Dad's for BBQ Chicken, it was yummy! I was exhausted and back home and in bed by 9:00!

For some reason my pictures I took on my phone are not sending. I'm trying to email to myself but it's not working, once I publish this post I will probably get them in my email so if I do, I'll post my pics.
