Last weekend, or maybe 2 weekends ago, Cooper and I went to an open house at a local Fire Station. All the fire stations around had their doors open for anyone who wanted to come and visit. Cameron was napping so I decided to take Cooper.
He loves Fire Trucks, Ambulances and Police Cars. When you ask what a Fire Truck says, he screams like the sirens are going off, it's too funny!
He climbed up the big Fire Truck all my himself
Driving!! He loved this seat!
And he even got to spray the fire house, he thought this was pretty cool and got to do it a couple of times.
And we couldn't leave without going in the Fire Truck again!
Trolleys!!
Saturdays, in Dubuque, the city offers free trolley rides, thanks to mom for checking on this. Cooper loves riding just about anything and one of his favorite shows right now is Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. Well, Daniel rides a trolley to wherever they go and we thought this would be perfect. So Saturday afternoon we went to a bus stop to wait for the trolley. We thought we missed but low and behold it came, 10 minutes late! It was a lot of fun, for someone touring DBQ it's perfect. The driver was talking about the history of Dubuque, however we were the only ones on for awhile and we told him to could save his breathe because we're from here and just along for the ride. It was funny! Then he picked up some Wisconsin peeps so he got to carry on with the history of DBQ.
But for the Trolley ride, I think Cooper really liked it. Cameron, he fell asleep because it was around his nap time, but for the most part he liked it as well. Cooper said after about 45 minutes he wanted to get off. It was about an hour ride.
He found a new seat where he could "hang on".
And then there were boats!!
Tom's dad has pontoon, we don't get to go out very often because we're usually camping when they go out on the river, but yesterday, Sunday, they took there last boat ride of the season. It was near 80 degrees yesterday and if you know Iowa weather, sometimes it's snowing by now. Not really, but it's hardly every 80 degrees mid-October.
It was a perfect day. Cameron got to drive the boat but I didn't get a picture...bad mom! This was our first and last ride of the season. As for camping, we'll be closing up shop there probably next weekend.
So as you can see the boys love to "travel" Cooper loves anything that moves. We can't wait for the Polar Express come November!!!
