The Polar Express

Friday after Thanksgiving, we headed to Milwaukee to pick up mom from California! After picking her up, we headed to Middleton, WI, about 2 hours away, to the Polar Express! This is our first experience and for the most part it was well worth it!

The whole gang came, which worked out great because we had lots of room on the train. The kids were so excited, we watched the Polar Express and read the book for about 2 weeks straight so when we got there, Cooper knew exactly what was going on. He's at such a fun age right now, I just can't get enough.

A few pictures inside the train station before boarding.

The Borgerdings

The  Borgerdings with Andy, Lorlie and Gavin

Don't you just love the matching jammies??? Ha the girls did, not sure about the guys, but it was fun!

The kiddos!

ALL ABOARD!! Cooper kept yelling it....once we got going, the staff started dancing up and down the aisle and asked the kids to join, so Cooper, Gavin, Ryan and Taylor all joined it.

Tickets please??

We got to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, but no pictures because we had no place to set our cups down!

The Hobo came thru, he was sure checking Cooper out.

Patiently waiting to get to the North Pole

THE NORTH POLE!

Santa and his elves came on and passed out a bell to every girl and boy, it was so sweet!

The kids had a blast, I loved watching their faces light up!
And a few random pictures I got!

What a fun time and just being in our pajamas.....that was the best part!

After the Polar Express we went back to our hotel and the boys got to hang out. These pictures came from Lorlie, not sure what the boys are doing, but they are sure loving on each other!

The next morning we were up to eat breakfast and hit the pool before heading home.

Cameron's big boy haircut

Last night, my little boy got his first official haircut. Mom gave him a trim about 6 months ago but today was the BIG BOY haircut. He no longer looks like my baby.

We had to start out with suckers...he was so happy to be high up on the chair.

Then she started cutting/trimming. She used a trimmers to take most of it off. Val said he was the best "1st haircut" she ever gave. He just sat there, as long as the candy kept coming.

Val letting Cameron feel the clippers so he wouldn't freak out, it was so cute!

As I'm taking a picture, he's saying "cheeeeseee" to Val.

And off it comes. And Cooper digging in the candy bowl!

All the hair on top of his head!

And a little "Lane" curl, as I call it. She did this and instantly thought of my nephew Lane. LOL

Finishing up!!

And because Cooper wanted his picture taken too....and mommy!

And one last sucker because he was such a good boy! I didn't get a full shot but you can tell here how much she took off, now his little chubby cheeks are chubbier and I'm in love!

Val kept some (lots) of Cameron's hair for me to add to his baby book, now if I can remember to take it out of my purse and put in his baby book.

Halloween 2015

Was it just me, or did Halloween last the WHOLE month of October?? I like Halloween but wow, there was a lot going on. And as Cooper would say..."another Halloween" in a really high, squeaky pitched voice. It was the cutest thing ever! I think I needed a couple costumes for this years festivities.

Here is what we did ALL month long!!

First up Halloween at Whitetail Bluff!! This is always so much fun, this year the Borgerdings were able to join us along with Landyn, Tom's cousin's boy. All the campers pass out candy, needless to say we have tons of candy! This is always the last weekend in September and the first weekend in October, there are always two of them. We didn't make the first one but was able to make it to the second. I heard the first one was a lot crazier as the weather was nicer, but it turned out to be a beautiful day anyway.

My new wreath that my mother-in-law made. I'm in love!

Next up...ABC Learning Halloween party! This is held at the kids' daycare every year, it's a blast. Everyone dresses up and the kids have so much fun.
Cameron playing in the corn!

Thomas the train

This is what we get every time the hood comes up! Poor penguin!

Playing robots with daddy.

Cheese!

Day off with mommy! haircut in his cute shirt from Aunt Stephanie!!

Halloween parade!! Cooper and Cameron both loved it, this is one of my favorite parades. Cameron would start dancing in his stroller every time a band would go by or music playing. Again, lots of candy!

Trick-or-treat at Loras College. Some of the dorms had students handing out candy so we met up with Gordon, Lorlie, Gavin and Wyatt!

Again, doesn't like being a penguin!

But is happy as a lark when it's not on and sitting up in the front seat with mommy! Can you see it's raining out, so we were waiting for the others before getting out.

Big sissy came with!

Cookie Monster and Thomas getting more candy!

These two are buds!! Did you hear Gavin is going to be starting at ABC Learning?? Cooper is super excited!

My little penguin insisted on holding his own treat bag. I think that thing was heavier than him!

Practicing our Halloween set at Jazzercise. Cooper loved trying on these masks!
Roar....

This was how he fell asleep after our Jazzercise Hallowen set, he was tuckered out and covered himself up, turned on my clock radio and was watching Monsters Inc. and fell asleep.

Finally trick-or-treat night!! First stop was at Great Grandma and Grandpa Barretts, I didn't get a picture there but they got lots of suckers!

Next stop Grandma and Grandpa Hillebrands...my penguin was high on sugar!

Walking the neighborhood

Cooper having a blast! He wanted to go to every house that had a light on!

We had to make a special stop to Great Aunt Sandy's as well, she's on our way up to mom's so it worked out great!

Trick-or-treat Bacca....

After trick-or-treating it was time for homemade pizza and jammies! Speaking of jammies, I found all Cooper's old jammies that Cameron could now wear after I was putting all the Halloween decor away...maybe next year or 2 for the new baby! UGH...

October was a busy busy month, but so many fun memories made. Now onto the next holiday...Thanksgiving! This year, we're hosting it on the Hillebrand side and having our reveal party! Can't wait to find out what we're having. Think Pink!
