Friday night we had a late dinner, everyone was winding down from the week, Gary and Erica were getting things set up in there camper, so we just grilled brat patties (my new fave) and hot dogs. The Ryan's and Borgerdings already ate so it was just us. After dinner it was jammy time. I was so excited to find Cooper's old Halloween jammies and better yet, they are 9 month jammies, so they fit Cameron perfectly!! Not sure if they'll fit come Halloween night but for now, they are perfect.
Before camping, we planned meals accordingly so each family had to prepare one meal on Saturday. We had breakfast and decided to try a new crockpot recipe, OMG it was delicious and SUPER simple. We turned it on Friday night before bed and it was all ready to go Saturday morning. All it called for was frozen hashbrown, ham and/or bacon, and a dozen eggs. We threw in diced onions and red peppers that we prepared at home so it was so simple and so so good!
Here are the boys eating breakfast.
We used a little table for the young ones to eat and they loved it!
Yup, Cameron's up there all by himself!! Don't worry, someone was near by!
Can't forget to feed my big boy! Don't worry, he's getting plenty!
After breakfast we cleaned up and just hung out, the kids went on the jumping pillow and played around the campsite taking turns riding the tractor and pushing lawn mowers around.
Then came lunch!! Gordon and Lorlie made a ton of taco meat and brought all the fixings for walking tacos or just a taco, whatever you wanted. It was so nice, we each brought a crockpot liner and we used the same crockpot for each meal which made clean up super simple.
Andy, Ben and his two kids came down to visit. This is his first time at Whitetail so we showed him and the kids around on the golf cart. They stayed for lunch but they wanted hot dogs!
After getting dressed and ready for trick-or-treat, it was time to load up the kids in the wagon and start our way around the campgrounds. The men stayed back to hand out treats and offer an adult beverage to the adults, or course!
I sure wish I would have gotten individual pictures of them all but Erica was snapping these pictures so I grabbed a few too but none of my own kids. Duh!!
Taylor is a vampire and Ryan is a construction worker
We took a lot of these pictures, they are quite comical because no one would all look at the same time.
These 2 crack me up. Ryan is looking at Cameron, not sure what Gavin is looking at.
And this one Cameron is looking at Ryan and still not sure what Gavin is looking at. Oh and BTW, Cooper just woke up from his nap so he wasn't too happy about being a penguin! LOL
Mr. Construction man!
These three rode in the wagon most of the night, once Cooper seen what he was getting he was a much happier penguin. Poor thing, though it was so hot!! We did put the hood down after a while.
My little penguin
And my little monkey asleep. He was in his bumpo in the wagon and all of a sudden I see his head flop down and scared me to but then noticed he just fell asleep so we took him out of the bumpo, took his hat of and laid him down in the wagon. By that time we were almost done so I grabbed the golf cart and headed back with Cooper.
The kids got a TON of candy. We save it for next weekend when we have Halloween 2! Plus we don't need all that candy!
After trick-or-treating it was time for dinner! The Borgerdings were in charge of that. She make a potato soup with all the fixings and it was so yummy. Again, we just used the same crockpot and it was ready to go when we got back.
Later on that night, I'm in the camper and I see this...these two are going to be world famous chefs!
Sunday came and we all just threw in whatever we had for breakfast. We had sausages and sweet rolls, again so easy!!
Eating again, this may have been Saturday night, but it was hot out!
After we got cleaned up, we headed to the pool. We didn't get to swim Saturday as the day just flew by so we stayed late Sunday to go swimming. The water was FREEZING but Cooper didn't seem to mind one bit.
My big boy and his chins!
Cameron spent alot of time on this big towel. He's almost crawling and if he wants something, he's going to get it. He was trying for the grass but we stopped him every time.
Watching Cooper swimming! Daddy was just getting ready to watch the Bears from inside the bar, while eating there famous cheese curds, YUM!! Go Bears!
It was a great weekend and we loved having company. Next weekend is not going to be as nice but we'll be there, it will be one of our last weekends of the year. I'm ready because next year Cameron will probably be walking and it will be easier!!
We got a call from mom to stop at Grandma's so we did. Aunt Nikki put this bow in Cameron's hair. Silly Nikki!
