7 Months Old!

This pictures says it all!! He's going to be my trouble maker! But boy do I love him to death and I can't believe he's already 7 months old. Before we know it we'll be planning his 1st birthday!!

A few things I want to remember about Cameron's 7 months of life are:

  • He is wearing size 3 Pampers swaddlers - I should move him to cruisers because that's what he's doing.
  • Yup - he's crawling!! Like 3 weeks ago crawling!! I swear he went from rolling, to sitting, to crawling (and now standing) in a month! This boy wants something, he's getting it.
  • I have put all, most, of his 6 month clothing away, he's onto bigger and better things - 9 month clothing and almost into 12 months. I think there is such a big gap between 9 and 12 month clothing and I find it hard to say he's going into 12 month clothing just because it seems so big and I don't want him to grow up so fast.
  • Cameron is exclusively breastfed and now has been eating solids for a month or so and is loving it. But still loves mommy's milk.
  • We are feeding him solids 3 times a day, we just moved to stage 3, he barely ate stage 2 but we are still feeding some stage 2. I can't say he loves food, he always makes this face, like "what is that" then eats it anyways. He's much rather have what we're having and trust me, he does get a few bites of things we are eating. For example, ice cream last night, yeah he loved it and was jumping up and down in my lap for about 15 minutes before bed time!
  • He loves bath time - I still put him in his sling to wash him and then I let him play in the tub with Cooper, he loves splashing around. Sometimes he tried climbing around but I have to yell at him so he doesn't slip.
  • I think I saw a little white spot in your mouth the other day, I think those teeth are coming. You've had some rosy cheeks the last few weeks, however you've been sleeping great at night
  • Sleep has been great, you go down between 8-8:30 and I've been having to wake you up to eat before going to daycare. However, naps...well lets just say I think you think you're going to miss something. They say that at daycare too. You'll fall asleep eating then wake up as soon as we set you down. I'm such a sucker and I pick you right back up!

  • Pictures these days are hard to come by. We take lots but most of them are blurry, as you can see above. He's much rather have ate that belly sticker then keep it on his belly, so I stuck it to his forehead!

  • He loves his brother!! Cooper can make him laugh, you know the big belly laughs? They just melt my heart.

Cooper is sharing his binky, however Cameron is not a fan of the bink. We've tried moving up a size, from the newborn size, and he really wants nothing to do with it, he'll just spit it out, so when he's feeding and falling asleep I just stick it in for a while.

As you can see, Cooper is sharing his bink, but let me tell you, Cameron doesn't have it for long. We really need to get the Binky Fairy to our house or something!

See who has the binky now!! Yup! But he sure does love his little brother.

Oh and Cooper wanted a few pictures of himself, no cloths and all. Every time he sees my phone he just says "cheeeeeseeee" really big and loud!

    Him saying Cheeseee!

I love these two so much!! I can't wait to see what good buddies they will become. I'm sure I'll be breaking up fights before we know it, as I already seem to be doing, but it's all worth it and I think God everyday for these two!!

Now off to Cameron's 7 month pictures!!

Camp Halloween

This past weekend was Halloween up at Whitetail, it was a beautiful weekend, well into the 80's!! Gary, Erica, Gordon and Lorlie and there kids all joined us for the weekend. Gary and Erica pulled there camper up next to ours and Gordon and Lorlie stayed with them. It was a blast, we always love having company and it keeps Cooper busy too with the other kiddos around.

Friday night we had a late dinner, everyone was winding down from the week, Gary and Erica were getting things set up in there camper, so we just grilled brat patties (my new fave) and hot dogs. The Ryan's and Borgerdings already ate so it was just us. After dinner it was jammy time. I was so excited to find Cooper's old Halloween jammies and better yet, they are 9 month jammies, so they fit Cameron perfectly!! Not sure if they'll fit come Halloween night but for now, they are perfect.

Before camping, we planned meals accordingly so each family had to prepare one meal on Saturday. We had breakfast and decided to try a new crockpot recipe, OMG it was delicious and SUPER simple. We turned it on Friday night before bed and it was all ready to go Saturday morning. All it called for was frozen hashbrown, ham and/or bacon, and a dozen eggs. We threw in diced onions and red peppers that we prepared at home so it was so simple and so so good!

Here are the boys eating breakfast.

We used a little table for the young ones to eat and they loved it!

Yup, Cameron's up there all by himself!! Don't worry, someone was near by!

Can't forget to feed my big boy! Don't worry, he's getting plenty!

After breakfast we cleaned up and just hung out, the kids went on the jumping pillow and played around the campsite taking turns riding the tractor and pushing lawn mowers around.

Then came lunch!! Gordon and Lorlie made a ton of taco meat and brought all the fixings for walking tacos or just a taco, whatever you wanted. It was so nice, we each brought a crockpot liner and we used the same crockpot for each meal which made clean up super simple.

Andy, Ben and his two kids came down to visit. This is his first time at Whitetail so we showed him and the kids around on the golf cart. They stayed for lunch but they wanted hot dogs!

After getting dressed and ready for trick-or-treat, it was time to load up the kids in the wagon and start our way around the campgrounds. The men stayed back to hand out treats and offer an adult beverage to the adults, or course!

I sure wish I would have gotten individual pictures of them all but Erica was snapping these pictures so I grabbed a few too but none of my own kids. Duh!!

Taylor is a vampire and Ryan is a construction worker

We took a lot of these pictures, they are quite comical because no one would all look at the same time.
These 2 crack me up. Ryan is looking at Cameron, not sure what Gavin is looking at.

And this one Cameron is looking at Ryan and still not sure what Gavin is looking at. Oh and BTW, Cooper just woke up from his nap so he wasn't too happy about being a penguin! LOL

Mr. Construction man!

These three rode in the wagon most of the night, once Cooper seen what he was getting he was a much happier penguin. Poor thing, though it was so hot!! We did put the hood down after a while.

My little penguin

And my little monkey asleep. He was in his bumpo in the wagon and all of a sudden I see his head flop down and scared me to but then noticed he just fell asleep so we took him out of the bumpo, took his hat of and laid him down in the wagon. By that time we were almost done so I grabbed the golf cart and headed back with Cooper.

The kids got a TON of candy. We save it for next weekend when we have Halloween 2! Plus we don't need all that candy!

After trick-or-treating it was time for dinner! The Borgerdings were in charge of that. She make a potato soup with all the fixings and it was so yummy. Again, we just used the same crockpot and it was ready to go when we got back.

Later on that night, I'm in the camper and I see this...these two are going to be world famous chefs!

Sunday came and we all just threw in whatever we had for breakfast. We had sausages and sweet rolls, again so easy!!

Eating again, this may have been Saturday night, but it was hot out!

After we got cleaned up, we headed to the pool. We didn't get to swim Saturday as the day just flew by so we stayed late Sunday to go swimming. The water was FREEZING but Cooper didn't seem to mind one bit.

My big boy and his chins!

Cameron spent alot of time on this big towel. He's almost crawling and if he wants something, he's going to get it. He was trying for the grass but we stopped him every time.

Watching Cooper swimming! Daddy was just getting ready to watch the Bears from inside the bar, while eating there famous cheese curds, YUM!! Go Bears!

It was a great weekend and we loved having company. Next weekend is not going to be as nice but we'll be there, it will be one of our last weekends of the year. I'm ready because next year Cameron will probably be walking and it will be easier!!

We got a call from mom to stop at Grandma's so we did. Aunt Nikki put this bow in Cameron's hair. Silly Nikki!

6 Months Old!

My baby is half way to a year old!! Where does the time go?? I just want to treasure each and every moment of his life.

Cameron is a wiggle-worm! This boy wants to move. He went from just being able to sit up himself to pulling himself up to the seated position in ONE day!! I swear I just tried setting him down one day and he sat, really good, then the next day I swear I put him on the floor on his belly and a few minutes later I look over and he's sitting up!! Yes, just like that...and he wants to MOVE!!

A few things I want to remember about Cameron's 6 months of life are:

  • You are wearing size 3 diapers - we prefer Pamper's swaddlers
  • You are wearing size 6 month cloths, snuggly, and are fitting perfectly into 9 month cloths, momma needs to do some shopping!
  • You love to eat!! We started this month with cereal then we mixed in a few veggies and also gave you a few fruits. You love everything thing. You make a funny face at the first bite, thinking "what is this" then you just go to town!
  • You love your bath! I still put you in your sling to wash you but when you're done, I've set you right in the water with Cooper and you absolutely love it! You were laughing so hard at your brother the other day, it brought tears to my eyes. You would splash, then Cooper would splash, and then you'd just crack up!

  •  You are still strickly breastfed! Momma has had some sore nipples because you're just a busy body. I've had to call to get some magic potion just so I can feed you.
  • You're a great sleeper. You get tired around 8, I feed you, sometimes you fall asleep, sometimes you don't, but I put you to bed awake so I don't get in the habit like I did with Cooper, he still needs me to fall asleep! You mostly sleep through the night. I like when you wake up around 5am so I can feed you in bed and snuggle. If Cooper is in our bed, which happens a few times a week it seems, we'll go snuggle in Cooper's bed. You will go back to sleep after eating until I have to wake you up at 7 to go to daycare.
  • If you're still sleeping before Cooper wakes up, he's always asking where you're at. You two are going to be best buds, I just know it. You'll be knocking around your big brother real soon.

You are always so happy!! Whenever someone talks to you just just give them a big ole grin. It sure melts mommy's heart!

Cameron's 6 month check up was the other day and he weighed in at 19.2 pounds!! Yes, he's my chunker and I love every squishy part of him. I never thought I could love 2 people so much in my entire life than I do Cooper and Cameron! God has blessed me so much! I have a wonderful husband and 2 families that I love dearly.

And just to compare Cooper and Cameron, here is a couple pictures of Cooper!

Love both these boys to the moon and back!! I can't wait to see these two in action!

5 Months Old!

Where does the time go?? My baby is 5 months old already!

A few things I want to remember about Cameron's 5 months of life are:

  • You are wearing size 3 diapers - we prefer Pampers swaddlers! (Side note - I just looked at what I blogged about for Cooper's 5 month info and he was still in size one diapers) maybe it was a typo!
  • You are in 9 month cloths, but still struggling to fit you into 6 month cloths because that's what most of our summer cloths are. Soon it will be fall and we'll be pushing you into 12 month cloths. I think you just need to slow down!

  •  You are always so happy and smiley! You just light up whenever someone talks to you, it doesn't matter if it's the dog, either. Soon you'll be down there rough housing it with him and Cooper.
  • You're a rolling machine! You will be scooting/crawling in no time.
  • You love to sleep on your belly. I will put you down on your back and go in and check on you before I go to bed and you're sound asleep on your belly.
  • You go to bed around 8:30, if it's much later, you're cranky, so 8:30 if you haven't fallen asleep while eating I will put you in a wake and turn on your sound machine. You love to look at the lights and listen to the music. I went in last night because you were so quiet to make sure you were covered up and there you were just staring at the ceiling. I covered you up and off you went to sleep.
  • You get up anywhere from 5 to 6am, eat then go back to sleep for another hour or so. I'm loving snuggle time in the mornings!
  • Naps are pretty good unless it's noisy then you want to know what's going on. But I'll get at least 2 good naps out of you and then a few short catnaps.
  • You are exclusively breastfed still. I'm getting this shirt made through a group on Facebook called Lactation Club of Dubuque. Lots of great advice!

  • You love to eat, but you love to eat in peace and quiet and with you brother always trying play and sit on mommy's lap while you eat, you don't seem to eat as much. You are very nosy and want to know what's all the noise??!!
  • You're my chubbers!! I could kiss those sweet cheeks all day long!
  •  We started you on cereal this past week. You're not sure what to do with the spoon but you're figuring it out!
  • You love bathtime and just want to let loose. You kick water every where. I can't wait until you can sit up and play in the tub! You and your brother both love bath night.

  • You love being outside and just checking everything out. Did I mention you're nosy?!?!
  • You are really starting to talk too...cooing that is, you will try and talk and we talk back you juts smile. Melts our hearts.
  • You and Cooper are going to be best buds. Cooper is always asking where you're at if you're not in the same room. Or he'll want to go in your bed with you to give you hugs and kisses, it's just so sweet and I can't wait to see how you two interact with each other.
Cameron, you are so special to us and I love seeing you're smiling face every day, you just make mommy and daddy's day and everyone else who you are in contact with. I can't wait to see what the next month brings!! Love you buddy!

4 months old

Wow, where does the time go?? I can't believe I'm already writing a blog post about Cameron's 4-months of life!

A few things I want to remember about Cameron's 4 months of life are:
  • You are wearing a size 2 diaper. We prefer Pampers swaddlers and I think we're ready to move you up a size! Cooper at this age was just getting into size 2!
  • You are my chunky monkey and I love it!
  • You're wearing size 6 to 9 month cloths, we've had to pretty much restock your summer wardrobe because I figured you'd just wear what Cooper did. Boy was I wrong! But that's OK, you just wanted your own stuff, I know.

  • You love bath time, I think you get disappointed when we don't have baths. But for the most part we try for every other day.
  • You love to eat! You're exclusively breastfed. You're starting to watch us eat and it makes me sad but I don't want to start giving you cereal yet, however I think the doctor tomorrow is going to tell us different. We will probably weight though, we'll see.
  • You sleep great. You are officially in your crib and this momma has been putting you to bed AWAKE, that's right...you fall right asleep with the sound machine going and sleep all night. I do set the timer so it turns off and every once in a while you'll wake up around 2am and I just go in and put your pacifier back in your mouth and you're good until 5:30 or so then I grab you and bring you in my bed to eat and we get lots of snuggles then. My favorite part of the morning.

  • You had pink eye a few weeks ago that seemed to linger around, so we kept you on eye drops for about 2 weeks. You'd never know it though as you're always smiling!
  • I hate to say this but I think you're teething because you're hand or anything in your had is always in your mouth and you're a drooling machine. I think I need to get the bibs out!

  • You started to roll! Yesterday while working at home, I had you on your back and I looked over and saw you on your belly. Once you get there you're not quite sure if you like it or not but if we put you on your belly you just lift that head up and smile. Also, I went in this morning to get you and you had just rolled over that's when I noticed the whining, you couldn't get back over.
  • You love watching Cooper and Calvin, they make you laugh. I'm just starting to get some big giggles out of you, it's so darn cute.
  • We've set you in your Bumbo a couple of times, you seem to really like it, however your brother will try and push you out because he thinks it's his. Actually he fits in it better than you do right now with those chubby legs, but I'm not complaining.

  • You love being outside and going for walks.
  • Your favorite position when someone is holding you is face forward, that way you can see everything that's going on.
Tomorrow you go for your 4 month check up. I'm pretty sure you're getting shots so before the doctor I have your pictures being taken. I can't wait because I know you're going to put on some big smiles for momma.

I just love you so much, I can't believe you're already 4 months. I really want you to just stop growing and stay small and snuggly and chubby. Looking back at Cooper's 4 month pictures, you two are just so different.

Here is Cooper at 4 months!

They both just light up my world and I don't know what I'd do without them. I thank God everyday for these 2 boys.
