Jazzercise Birthday Bash

This past Saturday, Tom and I got a babysitter, my cousin Lexi, and headed down to the Jazzercise center where we celebrated two birthdays, Julie and myself. Julie turned 50 this year so it was extra special.

We made our way down to the Jazzer center around 6:00, everyone brought a little something to eat. Tom made a salsa, or Pico as he called it, it was so good and as always a big hit.

Here are a few pictures of us throughout the evening, it got kind of crazy!

The birthday girls!

The food table, everything was so good!

Mike, Judy's husband, he's a character.

Julie, being silly.

There is a ping pong table in the back but no one wanted to carry it down the steps, there's like 2 steps, I guess it's pretty heavy so instead of ping pong, Tom said "we can play beer pong" so he set up on the stage, one side to the other and played beer pong all night.  OMG we had a blast! We also bean bags going as well, there a tall spot on the one side where you can play just perfectly.

There is Fred, I'm not sure what he's doing here but we had fun. Can you see mom??? Her and dad stopped down on there way home, everyone just thinks mom's a hoot, which she is, and they were all excited to see them, especially me!

About 8:00, I got a call from Nikki, Lexi's mom, to call her. Which I was getting ready to call her right before Nikki called. Everything was fine, Cooper was sleeping and I left a couple options to Lexi for supper, she chose Spaghetti O's and meatballs. Well, as she was walking into the dining room to eat, Cooper blared out a scream and she dropped her bowl of Spaghetti O's all over the floor, on the carpet. She felt so bad! I told her not to worry about, we're hoping to get new carpet (the guy is here measuring now) so it wasn't a big deal, plus we have a carpet cleaner. So I told her to go get another can and eat. I can only imagine how she reacted because when Cooper screams, he screams!!

We got home around midnight and best thing was, Lexi spent the night. She did a fantastic job, I'll definitely be calling her again!

Bathtime Fun!

Cooper lately just loves his bath and I was in the picture taking mood, not so much Cooper, but I thought what the heck, who doesn't love pictures of babies in the bath tub.

Coop playing in the tub, he loves his little basketball hoop that Santa brought him. His new thing is to stick his hand in and pull the balls out then throw them out of the tub.

For Christmas, Cooper got new bath towels, the baby ones were just not covering him anymore, so we got him a couple new towels and he loves them. He had a bear one, see below, and a yellow duck one, they are both so cute and soc cuddly.

I was trying to get one of just him, he loves looking at himself on my phone when trying to take a picture. I'm ducking out of the way...

Now that we got a heater for his room, I don't mind getting him dressed in his room, it's always so cold, so before bathtime I cranked up the heater and wow it was hot!

We were trying to play peek-a-boo, his new favorite game!

Look at that belly.

"Ha! Ha! I'm not letting you take my picture" I just know that's what he's thinking!

Love his "after bath" hair do!

It's always so hard to get his picture anymore, I need a super high speed camera and an extra arm!! Cooper has been so fun lately, last night he was a blast, the night before, Monday, he was crabby. Maybe it's just Monday's, heck we're all crabby on Monday's. But we love him anyway.. He's my doll!

11 Month's Old

I say this every month but "Where has the time gone?" Cooper has brought so much joy to our lives and I can't imagine life without him.

A few things I want to remember about Cooper's 11 months of life are:
  • You are still wearing size 3 Pampers, however you prefer to be naked! You hate getting your diaper changed and we have to bribe with whatever we have lying around..and sometimes that doesn't even work. Your diaper just ends up a little twisted is all.
  • You have outgrown your 9 to 12 month clothing and we have officially cleaned out your closet and dresser drawers. You are now wearing 12 month clothes.
  • You have one tooth (bottom right) that's popped through, and it's sharp! The left one next to it is just about through, no top teeth yet that I can feel.
  • You bite your lower lip and/or suck your lips in, it's so cute, your little cheeks puff out and I just want to grab them and squeeze them they are so darn cute.
  • You had lots of sickness this month, it seems about for 2 weeks you were just battling a bug. You did have double ear infection but we got you some good meds and you cleared up in no time. You are very clingy when you were sick and just want to snuggle and sleep with mommy.
  • You celebrated your first Valentine's Day! You had so much fun at school, mommy forget to send Valentine's with you, but you didn't seem to mind one bit. You came home very dirty so I know you had a blast.
  • You are starting to sign.. you say 'all done' you wave 'bye-bye' and you are starting to blow kisses (thanks to Sissy, she's been teaching you this)
Blowing kisses to Micayla (you even make the noise, mmmmaaaaaa)

Waving Bye-Bye

  • You also give High 5's! Especially to Brother, he's the one who taught you that.
  • You just light up every time your brother or sister walk into the room. You love them so much and they just adore you!
  • You moved up to a new car seat this month and you love it! I think you like it because you just talk away as we are cruising down the street. I think you like being up higher and you can see more.
  • You love playing peek-a-boo! You'll grab whatever is around and put it in front of your face and we'll say "peek-a-boo" and you show your face, it's so sweet!
  • You are also starting to give kisses! Momma loves this.
  • You are such a noise maker, you are constantly making some kind of noise. Like I said, it's music to my ears!
  • You talk with your hands all the time. You'll say OHHHH and raise your hand. You turn your hand up so you palm is up.

  • You love playing with balls, any kind!
  • You love bath time.
  • You are starting to ween yourself from breastmilk. You are still exclusively breast fed, no formula! Only one more month to go. Today, Tuesday the 19th, I did not bring my pump to work. I received a note from school that you don't seem to interested in the bottle and would rather have people food. I'm so alright with this! I will still feed you in the mornings and before bedtime for at least one more month, however you don't seem to interested in that either but I'm still going to try!

  • You do not like baby food, such as Gerber Stage 3, you seem to throw it up all the time so we've just decided to feed you whatever we are eating. You threw up your whole dinner at Grandma's the other night. I forgot to tell her you didn't like it.
  • You spent your first night at Grandma and Grandpa's and you had a blast, except for puking and taking a bath, but other than that you had so much fun. They even fed you some malted milk and ice cream! Yummy....
  • You went swimming with mommy and daddy and you still love the water - Thank God because we'll be doing a lot of swimming this summer up at Whitetail!

  • You always seem to be so happy, there is not much that you don't like, you will let us know when there is something you want or when you're not happy, but for the most part, you are the best baby!
  • You don't really like getting your picture taken, you always look the other way. However, I try to get a few good ones when I can.
  • Your pacifier has become your buddy! Momma doesn't like this! I take it away, you go find a new one, there is usually one lying around somewhere. You'd keep two in your hands all the time if you could. I like to see that cute smile of yours with out your pacifier.

  • You still have not taken your first step but you're close! You'll walk around anything to get what you want. We thought the other day you were going to take off but then you thought about it for a minute and just fell down and crawled to where you wanted to go.
  • You are fast crawler and will sneak off into other rooms. You love playing with the shower door, you knock it off track all the time and daddy yells at you, but you just smile and everything's OK then.

Cooper you are such a joy every day and I thank God to have you in my life. I just love to come home and play with you and I love when I walk in that door I see you just light up like you're so excited to see me. It sure melts this momma's heart! I can't believe I'm starting to plan your 1st birthday party, it's amazing to me! But I'm so excited and I think you will be too!

Valentines/Birthday Weekend

This weekend, Saturday, Tom and I celebrated Valentines Day and our birthday's. We try to do something special, just the two of us, this time of year, we celebrate our Birthdays, since they are about 3 weeks apart, and Valentine's Day, which is in between our two birthday's.

This year, we spent the night at The Hotel Julien I won a free night stay over the holidays and thought this would be a perfect time to use it. I made reservations a few weeks ago after I talked to mom and dad to see if they could keep Cooper all night. They were super excited and couldn't wait.

So we checked into the hotel around 4:00, our room was beautiful. The hotel was remodeled a couple years ago and everything is so nice.

These are the only pictures I got of the room.

We got settled in and at 4:45 we headed down to The Potosa Spa for a couple's massage. Tom said it was the best massage he's ever had. It was awesome. After the massages we headed back up to our room, the spa was in the hotel we were staying in - that was the best part of the whole thing, we didn't have to go anywhere! It was then about 6:15 or so and we were getting hungry. We decided to bundle up and walk down to Vinny Vanucchi's for dinner. We didn't have any reservations so we had about a 45 minute wait so we went back outside across the street to Corked it's little chocolate shop that has a little wine bar as well. Win I won the free night stay at The Julien there was also a gift certificate for Corked. Since we had plenty of time to have a couple glasses of wine and some chocolate. We ended up buying a whole bottle!

After Corked, we walked back down to Vinney's and our table was just about ready. The place was packed! I ordered Steak Marsala and Tom had Veal Marsala both were delicious! We also downed another bottle of wine! It was a good night!! LOL

After dinner we walked back to the hotel and decided to go to  The Riverboat Lounge which is inside the Hotel Julien. We had a few beers, a shot that someone bought for us, and a few more beers then headed back to the room. We had enough. LOL We hit the bed and were out! It was crazy not getting woke up by a crying baby, instead we had a knock on the door about 2am, some college kid asking if he could use our bathroom or something, it was the strangest thing. Tom told this kid to get lost and came back to bed.

Sunday morning, we slept in until about 8:30. I called mom and she said Cooper had a wonderful night. He did throw up his dinner, he does not like the jars of baby food anymore, that's what Grandma gave him and it all came up, sorry mom! They got him all cleaned up and he was fine. She said he slept all night, what's up with that?? He usually wakes up at least one time when he's home! Tom and I went down to Carolines for breakfast, then came back up to the room and went back to bed. It was so nice to be able to do that. Mom called about 10:30 and said they are heading down. I wanted to take Cooper in the pool and see how he liked it and he loved it!!

Tom in the hottub.

Grandpa watching us.

We had the best weekend, it was so much fun. We can't wait for next year! The best thing about our night was just about everything was right there in the Hotel. We were going to eat dinner at Caroline's as well, but they had about an hour wait and we decided to eat at Vinney's instead.
