What a wonderful weekend it was, Friday night Tom and I went out for dinner at Yen Chings for some Chinese food, it was yummy. After dinner we went home and watched the World Series, it was quiet night and very relaxing. The game wasn't too exciting because we wanted to see Texas win it but that didn't happen so we just went to bed.
Saturday morning, I got up for our specialty Jazzercise class at 8:45, it's always a fun class where 5 or 6 instructors all teach different songs and we get to dress up for each song. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of me but I'm sure I'll see some on FB or at the center, but here are a few of the other girls.
Shelly dressed up Burlesque for the song "Burlesque" it was so funny, she had a big bra on that was stuffed full and in this song there are lots of shimmy's so she had lots of fun with it.
Julie is dressed up as a Farmer for a farmer song but I can't remember the name of the song.
Here Judy is dressed up as a doctor for a song called "Medicine" I think.
Another one of Judy, her song here is Waka Waka, so she's dressed up African like.
There were 3 other instructors, me, Linda and Lisa. My songs were "The Sound of Sunshine" where I wore a hat that looked like a sun, a beach towel around my neck, a yellow shirt and white capri's, nothing to exciting with that one. Then I had "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" where I had my palm tree capri's on, a grass skirt, sunglasses, a lei and a beach hat. My third song was "The Joker" I wore Tom's scary Joker costume with mask and all. We had lots of fun and it's always a great turn out.
After class Tom and I headed up to Whitetail to close up the camper. We thought about staying but decided to just close it up and come home. It was sad to say good bye but I know next year will be totally different with having a little baby in the family. It's going to be so exciting and we can't wait.
Slides are all put in :(
Tom flushing out the toilet.
Bye Bye until next year, we will miss you!
After closing up the camper we came home to to watch the Hawkeye and maybe go out, but we thought of something much more fun. We decided to make different things out of pumpkins, right out of our pumpkin patch. Just that we did, we made Pumpkin Bars, Pumpkin Rolls, and Banana pumpkin bread. Cutting the pumpkins and puree them was the toughest part but we did it.
Here I am trying to gut the pumpkins, this is the grossest part and it's not fun at all.
Tom was in charge of the food processor and the Kitchenaid. Having both of these in the kitchen make cooking so much easier. We love the Kitchenaid - thanks Linda!
So here are the pumpkin bars and the banana pumpkin break. The bars were tricking getting out of the pan so we cut it in half which worked out good for storing it. The frosting/icing is the best part.
The pumpkin rolls we didn't actually bake until Sunday, however we did whip up the batter and frosting so everything was ready to go.
Sunday morning was a dreary day so we slept in. We wanted to get outside and get our yard all ready for winter but since it was a rainy day we decided to just stay in and relax.
