For the next three days we are expecting lots of snow, again...well, really we haven't had a significant amount of snow in about a month, it was a pretty quiet January. What a way to end the month, huh, lots of snow as the meteorologist just said..2 waves of snow, that's scary!
Friday night, me, Tom, mom and dad and Chris and Kristi all went to Neighbor's for pizza, in honor of Tom's birthday. The pizza was delicious, I have to say it's one of my favorites. Tomorrow night Micayla's boyfriend is coming over so we can meet him and she wants to order Happy Joes, another favorite, but Happy Joe's is different because I only, love, the Nacho Jo, but Neighbor's I love sausage, mushroom, green olive. I would never think of getting that from Happy Joe's, so it's a different kind of love. LOL Anyway, her boyfriend lives in Davenport, no sure how she met this one but he seems pretty nice, at least he looks decent on Facebook if you know what I mean? She wants us all to go bowling then go out for pizza so we'll see, all depending on the weather and from what it looks like he won't be coming up. It will be good for me, I'm supposed to get my hair done, but if he, I can't remember his name, come's up then I will cancel and reschedule. My hair can wait, I would rather hang out with the family.
Oops, I got off track, so after Neighbor's everyone came back to our house to play a little dice. 6, 5, 4 and Left, Right, Center. It was a lot of fun and as always it's great to around family. It was a short night however everyone was tired. Mom and I were getting up early for Jazzercise and Chris and Kristi were going to Justin's basketball game.
Saturday I taught Jazzercise at 7:30. One of the other instructors, Linda, asked if I could teach for her, it was a good excuse to because mom's been after me about going out for breakfast. I used to teach every 4th Saturday and me, mom and a former instructor, Joleen, used to all go out for breakfast. We don't that very often anymore since I don't normally teach on Saturday's. But it's always nice to teach different classes because there's always different and new people. So after Jazzercise mom and I went to breakfast at Dottie's, we tried 2 other places before Dottie's, but everywhere was packed and I only had an hour because I had to be back for Yoga at 10:00 as the Jazzercise center. Dottie's was good, but Chuck N Joe's would have been better, oh well hopefully next time.
I started a 6 week Yoga program. It's called Core Fusion! Wow, was it awesome or what, the hour just flew by and I'm feeling it today. It was Yoga, but all about the core. I have to admit I really, really like Yoga. I've been going every Tuesday night and it's so relaxing and I get to stretch where I would never think I could stretch.
After Jazzercise and Yoga, I came home and relaxed with my hubby. Brandon had a friend over so they were up and down the steps about 12 different times then in and out another dozen times, but they were having fun. LOL I got a wild hair up my butt and asked Tom if he was bored.. we ended up cleaning out the pantry, man is that a chore or what, but it was all worth it. We are finally organized again in our pantry. Sometimes our pantry is just a throw all, if we can't find a place for it, put it in the pantry.
We ended up making fish taco's out of our left over fish from Thursday night. We cooked some Tilapia and boy was it delicious. Tom's such an awesome cook! The taco's were to die for.
Today was another lazy day, we got up and made breakfast, waffle's and bacon. We love our new waffle maker, it works pretty slick and they are super good. I just laid on the couch all day, Tom went to bed early so he could get up in time to watch the pro bowl, which he's doing right now. Boy do I wish I was in Hawaii, not for the pro bowl, but for the warm weather. I can't wait for spring. The only exciting thing I did today was learn a couple new Jazzercise songs for this week. I should be doing that but wanted to blog about my weekend first.
So now I'm sitting here in the Hangover chair blogging and my Ipod is resting on my chest just waiting for me to listen to it. No hangover though...I'm not drinking just in case I'm pregnant, I have until Thursday to find out, keep your fingers crossed everyone!

Tommy's birthday
Today is Tom's 39th birthday, it's crazy I met him and he was only 34 wow, that seems like so long ago! We spent the night with each other until he had to go to work, we went out for dinner at Champps, we both split the loaded chips, I got half a chicken salad sandwich along with a bowl of French onion soup, it was delicious, there was enough meat on the sandwich to have two. Tom had a Greek salad along with a bowl of French onion soup as well. We left there stuffed! After dinner we went to Shopko to return a couple pair of work pants that his mom got him for his birthday, he found some others that he liked. After that we headed over to Nikki's house to help her with her new laptop and router. She had some goofy guy set up her computer and he can't remember the password he used when he set it up, so we couldn't even get into the computer. So she has to take the computer out to Staples and they should be able to reset it. Chuck said he warned her...LOL After we messed with that for about an hour we headed out to Courtside. I had to play volleyball at 8:00, we got smoked! Now he's off to work.
Last night he went for dinner with his mom and dad and Brandon and Micayla, I couldn't make it because of Jazzercise. Micayla had a bowling meet then they went for dinner. I on the other hand had Jazzercise then went to mom's for supper, she made steak and twiced baked potatoes, then I went to Yoga at 7:00. Dinner was great and so was Yoga. I'm starting a 6 week program starting this Saturday, it's called Core Fusion Yoga, sounds interesting huh? I hear it's going to "burn" my core, I'm ready.
Tom and I have been pretty good lately. We got a new game, Biggest Loser, for Xbox 360 Kinect, it's a fitness program and has lots of features. We just need to stick to it and get on a schedule. Micayla has been doing it too and she seems to like it. We, Micayla and I, really want one of the dance games so that's on my list to get. It's just amazing how expensive all the games are, we're talking at least $50 a game! Crazy!
I have one more week to wait to see if our IUI took. It's amazing when you're waiting for something like this and all the different things you see, for example seeing pregnant people, seeing lots of little babies, there was one out at Courtside tonight and then a girl I play volleyball with said she's pregnant, so I had her hug me so our belly's touched, I know I'm a dork, but hey, I'll try anything. She due in August and Steph, she's the one that was pregnant the same time you were. I used to work with her at Thermo Fisher, and her first one was due right around the time you were and here she's pregnant again around the same time. She's due in August again! So keep your fingers and toes crossed.
Well, it's about 10:00, Tom's left for work and I'm ready to hit the sack and watch the news for a little while.

Tomorrow's the day
Well, tomorrow is the day for Tom and I to try another IUI. I'm super excited, I'm so ready to have a baby in my belly! My appointment is at 11:30 so I will have to leave work to come home and pick up you know what, then off the doctor I go. Mom is going to meet me up there again. I think she just likes being there so if this procedure works she can say I was there when the baby was conceived. LOL Love you mom! It doesn't bother me at all, maybe 10 years ago I would be like no way you're not coming in with me, but today and where I'm at in my life I feel honored she's with me.
The weirdest thing happened to me this morning, first of all last night before I left work I was looking for a coupon for Clearblue easy ovulation test, since they're so expensive, a $2 coupon helps, however I couldn't find one and I really didn't look that hard, but anyway I went out to Target and got what I needed. So this morning as I was grabbing for my work badge to unlock the gates of the parking lot, I looked down in my little try and there was a Clearblue easy coupon! I looked at it and was thinking how in the world or where in the world did this come from. The coupon was expired but that's besides the point. I have no idea where it came from, last night when I got home from Target I ate supper and headed back out the door for Yoga. I put my phone in the same place that this coupon was at and I swear I didn't see it. It's crazy, hopefully it's a good sign.
After work today I went to the Chiropractor for my monthly crackin' I love it. I talk to them about acupuncture for infertility, my Chiro specializes in it, unfortunately it's not covered by insurance but it's only $45 a session to do it and I'm pretty sure my flex spending would cover it, so I'm going to look into it, just in case the IUI doesn't work. I said to her, is there something we can do right now since I'm right now ovulating? No, she laughed, I guess they go about 2 weeks before your ovulation day so they can get the blood flowing to where ever it needs to be. I have no idea, but it sounds very interesting. Maybe next month, I will keep you informed.
After the Chiro, Tom and I picked up my nephews, Matt and Jake. Matt called me and asked me to take him to his basketball game. I guess him mom was working and I just felt special that he called me, not sure if he called anyone else, but I was happy to do it. Jake called me a little while later and asked if he could come along and if I could take him up to his dad's to get something, so he came along as well, we dropped Matt off and headed up the hill. Man I do not miss driving that way, the traffic was horrible. We got back down to the boys and girls club to watch Matt. He did really good! He had quite a few rebounds and a couple of good passes. He didn't make any baskets but he sure tried, he had a couple of good shots. I was cracking up, Matt had this black sleeve on his arm and I ask Jake what it was, he said it was a "shooting" sleeve. I about died. LOL It's so funny how they see something on TV and they want to be just like them. But he did really good and I was glad to be there.
Kristi gave me the boys' schedule so I'm going to try and make some more of there games. I love watching them, especially basketball. I miss that sport!
I was supposed to play volleyball tonight, but I'm taking a week off of Jazzercise so I decided to not play volleyball tonight. I'm going to talk to my doctor tomorrow about what's next for me and if I should give up Jazzercise for a while. I really miss it and I feel like I should be doing something with Jazzercise. I'm kind of lost!
Brandon stayed home from school today, he's not feeling the best and Micayla is working. It's supposed to get super cold here the next couple of nights and possibly some more snow.
I booked mom and Grandma's flight to Sacramento. They can't wait to see them all. I talked to Leah for a second and she sounds like she's getting so big. She told me she loved me, she's so precious. I miss her so much and her mommy and daddy too!
Oh, one more thing, you're probably going crazy reading this with all the Bear's scrolling around. Tom's in charge of decorating my blog and this is what he came up with. I love it, but would be hard to read my blog, oh well.. Go Bears!

Xbox 360 Kinect
Boy do I wish I had some pictures to share...Tom and I played Xbox 360 Kinect Friday night and boy were we wore out. We bowled a few games, I kicked ass, sorry honey. We play ping pong, Tom kicked my ass. LOL We did some track and field and few other games. It was so much fun we were laughing so hard at each other. I think this was one of the best Christmas gifts we gave the kids, we all can use it. I want to buy the fitness one and one of the dance games, I hear they are awesome. So next week that's my plan. Then we won't have an excuse to just sit on the couch.
Tom and I have been good all week, we have been trying to "watch" what we eat and do some exercising. I have been keeping my goal of working out at work during lunch and even though I'm taking a little time off of Jazzercise, I'm still working out in our basement and once I get one of the Kinect games we can add a little more to our routine. I'm taking a week off of Jazzercise because the doctor I've been talking to suggesting that high impact aerobics may be causing some infertility issues, so I'm doing what the doctor ordered. We are going to try one more IUI this week hopefully and if that doesn't take, we have an appt. with an Iowa City doctor about our next step. The appointment is in Davenport which works out great, so we'll have to wait and see. I got a letter from my insurance the I am 100% covered for infertility so we're ready to go.
Last night, Saturday, Tom and I got invited to Chris and Kristi's for beef tenderloin and it was awesome, it melted in my mouth. It was nice visiting with them and watching football, seems like we don't get together as often anymore. We're all just so busy it seems. Brandon had 4 of his friends spend the night so it was a perfect opportunity to go Chris and Kristi's.
Micayla got her hair done! She had it colored blonde on top and dark on the bottom and a lot of hair cut off. I will have to post a picture, but it's your on FB check it out on her page. It's definitely different but it's only hair and it will grow back...I'm just curious how it will look curly, it's straightened now, so we'll have to wait and see.
I just got home from the movies and lunch with mom, Grandma, Nikki, Lexi, Andy and Erica, we all went to Little Fockers and then to the ground round for lunch. The movie was pretty good, I was laughing more at mom laughing than the show but it was good. Lunch was good as well.
The bears win!! Yippee, Tom will be in a good mood. LOL No work tomorrow, we're both off for MLK day. I've never had this day off before and I'm not complaining, so we're just going to hang out at the house, mom and dad said they might stop out. We might have to have a bowling tournament. I should just go out and get a new game, I'm dying to try it.

Lazy weekend
Tom and I did not leave the house ALL weekend. We went for fish at Lacoma Friday night with Tom's family, after we went shopping for groceries and that was it! The last couple of weeks were so crazy with the Holidays, it felt so great to lay around and mean literally laying around. The couch and I became good buddies this weekend. LOL We watched lots of football and I got to sneak into our bedroom to watch New Moon, last night was the first day it was on Showtime.
Tonight I was going to do some Jazzercise stuff, a new song or two, but I went to look for my Ipod and it wasn't there. I started panicking because I have to teach tomorrow morning. I started thinking of where the last place was that I used it. Well the last place I used was Friday at lunch, I was in the gym at work and I think I stuck it in the little spot while I was riding the stationary bike. I'm praying to God it's still there tomorrow when I get back to work. The worst thing about it is my Jazzercise paycheck is in my little bag. Not that it's too much, but I'm sure it's going to be right where I left it. Not many people work out on Friday's and I'm hoping it's still there. If not, I sure hope someone turned it in. I don't really feel like spending $150 right now. So will you all please say a little prayer?
So now the dilemma about Jazzercise tomorrow, I called Shelley to see if maybe she wanted to switch tomorrow, she could take my morning class and I could take her afternoon class, but she doesn't really want to get up early and I don't blame her, however she might let me borrow her Ipod, she'll just have to put my music on her Ipod. I was thinking about stopping down at work before class but if someone turned it in I wouldn't be able to get it yet. What a mess!
I really don't have anything else to talk about, it was such a quiet weekend. Micayla worked all weekend, Brandon stayed at a friends house Friday night and then he had a friend her last night and believe it or not they were sleeping before Tom and I went to bed. Usually we're yelling at them to keep quiet while we're trying to sleep.
I'm ready for another busy week. I can't believe how busy we were last week and it was only the 1st week in January.

busy busy busy
It's January and wow has work really picked up. We went from last Thursday where we took 120 calls to this Monday 600+ calls! Crazy and now I know why they don't allow any vacation during this month. I was excited to get 2 weeks, but forgot all about not being able to use any of it until after January. But the days fly by and there's never a dull moment.
I started working out over lunch, one of my new year resolutions. I rode the stationary bike yesterday for a half hour, boy was I sweating. Thank God I brought a change of clothes to work out in. I decided to this at least 3 days a week. I figured with 3 days of Jazzercise, one day of volleyball, 3 days of working out at lunch will definitely help and it relieves a lot of stress throughout the work day.
I don't really have much to say, I'm going to do some reading. I received a packet today about Infertility and the clinics in Iowa City in case we have to go that route, I want to be prepared because come March I will finally have coverage so we can take it to the next step. I hope we don't have to do IVF but if we do, we do. I see there is now a clinic in Davenport so that a plus, not as far of a drive.
I was very proud of my husband, this lady called from the clinic early yesterday morning and being half asleep, he answered all the nurses questions. I was laughing my ass off when he called me and told me that she called and she was asking him all these questions, like was a sperm count done, were her fallopian tubes checked, he asked if that was the painful one? Yep he's right, then she asked if I was on any prescriptions and of course he knew that, but I was so excited that he knew and answered her questions. I still have to call her back, I just can't seem to find a time during the day to do it. So off to do some reading.

Happy New Year
Wow, I can't believe it's already 2011! I hope all had a wonderful New Year's celebration.
We started our celebration Thursday night around 4:00, Chris, Kristi, Mom, Dad and Tom and myself all went down to Stone Cliff for some wine tasting. Well, got 3 bottles of wine and shared it between us. I think we each got about 2 glasses. Tom and I ordered Apple Wine, Mom and Dad ordered Sweet Cherry Wine, and Chris and Kristi ordered Riesling. All were so good. After Stone Cliff we headed over to Tony Roma's, we made it over by 6:00 just in time to get 1/2 price appetizers and $2 beers. So instead of ordering a whole meal we just ordered 4 different appetizers and since it was before 6:00 we each ordered 2 beers as well. I guess you had to be there, it was pretty funny. After dinner we went up to mom and dad's for a few drinks and little dice. We played "left, right, center" and 6, 5, 4. It was a great night and I think we need more of them.
Friday was a lazy day until the celebrations began. We got to Chris and Kristi's around 5:00. We were in charge of the potatoes. Mom and dad bought the prime rib for Chris and Kristi to make and Erica was in charge of the rolls/buns. Everything was delicious as always. Grandma and Lexi joined us for dinner as well. It was a pretty uneventful night, but its always great hanging out with family. We played shit on your neighbor with all the boys then the adults played The Newlywed Game. Mom and Dad and Grandma and Lexi all left about 10:00 and the rest of us all watched the ball drop at 11:00 on ABC, we couldn't even wait until Midnight! We called it a night before midnight, can you tell we're getting old?
Saturday we took the Christmas tree down and all the Christmas decorations down then headed up to mom and dad's for their "anal" party. That was the email that dad sent out to remind all his sisters about the annual birthday/open house party. It was a great night, lots of family and friends. We called it a night about 10:00.
So my new year's resolution begins again....
- Exercise, exercise, exercise. Along with my 3 days of Jazzercise, I am going to hit the gym at work. I might as well take advantage of it and since I have a 45 minute lunch break I am going to exercise for at least 1/2 hour during lunch.
- Healthy eating. Tom and I need to start eating better. We both need this and we know it, its just buying the right foods and portion control. I'm thinking of joining Weight Watchers and both Tom and I both use the process.
- Babies, that's one goal I'm sure hoping to get!
