Micayla and I spent the night out and about. She has been itching to drive, so I decided tonight, if they were home when I got off work, that we would go cruising around. So we first took Brandon and his bike to his friends, because they were going "biking". Then her and I went to Justin and Jake's baseball game. I saw Jake get a double and Justin had a hit and he was pitching. They were winning when we left, we were so hungry so we decided to go eat at the Mining Company, I had a mushroom swiss burger and Micayla had a cheeseburger. We both split an order of nacho's. It was delicious. Afterward, we walked the mall for a little while, I got my ring cleaned, we shopped the clearance at the Gap, found a few shirts cheap, then to VS to get my free panties. It was a good night. After that, we drove up to mom and dad's to give back a plate and bowl set she brought up for my party. She made a dip oh and speaking of that, I have the recipe, everyone's been asking about it. I can't remember what it's called.
Tom got a lot done today at home. I guess his dad was up and before Tom got up, he was here planting tomatoes, green and red peppers. Tom didn't even know he was here. That's how his dad is though, he will just go and now one will know where he went. Or he wont even call before he comes, he just shows up. It's pretty funny!
Then after Tom got up, him and his dad put up my clothes line poles. They had to dig holes and put concrete around them. They are on the side of the house, I think we found the perfect spot. Tomorrow Tom is going to paint them and put the rope up. I have to admit, with Tom working 2nd shift, he's sure getting a lot done around the house. Thanks sweetie.
So I got to thinking, I better start doing something around the house too. I keep thinking, every night, about what am I going to do. I think about going shopping or just out putzing around and you know what that means.. Spending Money! Well, I know I don't need to be doing that although, I could use some new work clothes. But anyway, I decided I am going to start "deep" cleaning. The basement has a ton of totes that I have no idea anymore what's in them. I know I need to find my sandals because the weather is starting to get so nice outside and well you know what I mean. So hopefully, starting next week I can get to work and make some progress of my own.

another loney night
I gotta tell you, this sucks! I'm not digging the nights anymore. I used to be excited to come home from work and hang out with my hubby, but it's not happening anymore. I think Patches and I are going to go nuts. She keeps looking down the steps wondering where Tom is and just keeps pacing back and forth. It's kind of funny watching her. When I was cooking supper she kept pacing back and forth and I keep talking to her saying "I know Patches, this sucks, doesn't it" and she would just wag her tail.
The kids haven't been home, well, I should say they're home, but they are out and about by the time I get home and they get here about 7 or so. Tonight I didn't hear from him and when Tom called on his break he asked if they called and I said no, he was pissed. He ended up calling them, not sure what he said to them, but I got a text from Brandon and a call from Micayla about 4 minutes after I hung up the phone with Tom. So I have been cooking for myself, I tried making a meal on Monday, thinking the kids would be home, so I make taco's but I ended up eating by myself. Last night, I made a panni and tonight I made pork chops, baked potato and asparagus. I made enough so Tom can have himself dinner for tomorrow. I'm not sure what I'm going to make tomorrow night, but I tell you what, it's hard to cook for one or when the kids are home, which we never know if they are coming home, seems like they make there own rules. I guess we are going to have to do something about it.
So after supper tonight, I cleaned up and thought about going to Walmart or doing some running around, but I ended up at mom and dad's. I was pretty bored and knew Grandma was up there for supper because she was going to play cards at the moose so I thought I would stop up. I ended up over at Diane's house to get the money for the piece of jewelry she ordered and she wanted me to set up skype for her, so I did that and she got a new car, so I checked that out as well. She got a new Toyota Camry, it's really nice.
I ended up picking up Micayla at Tom's mom and dad's house then we just came home. Brandon was just getting home. I ended up putting a new opener in for Jazzercise tomorrow and now I'm watching American Idol!

Lonely night
Tonight's the first night that I had to eat by myself! Tom started 2nd tonight, he sent me a message about 6:30 and said his night was going pretty fast and that he would call me on his 9:00 break. I'm so glad to hear it's going good.
Tom sent me an email today and said he doesn't know what to do. He ended up - oh wait, max's and Erin is on, Dancing with the stars - Wow, he's so nice to look at! Sorry sweetie.. So Tom ended up doing some laundry and the dishes, he must have been bored!
After work, I stopped at Hy-Vee to get the ingredients for taco's. I figured the kids would be home because I hadn't heard any difference, well when I was on my way home from Hy-Vee, Brandon sent me a text and said they are down at the skate park. I texted back that fine, but I'm making taco's for supper. So I came home and made myself taco's, had some chips and salsa and now I'm relaxing. The kids thought they were going to stay at their moms, so I thought I was going to home all alone until midnight or so. It was kind of lonely, but the peace and quiet is nice once in a while. Well, it didn't last too long. The kids sent me another message and said they decided to come home! LOL Oh and yeah, they were hungry, so the left over taco meat didn't go to waste. Not that it would have anyway, but Brandon's friend came home with him and they both at 2 or 3 tacos.
After I got the kitchen all cleaned, I learned 2 new Jazzercise songs, so now I'm watching Dancin' with the stars! It's getting really good! I'm looking outside and I can't believe it's 8:00 and it's still light out. I love it! We thought it was suppose to rain, but it must have missed us. Thank God because we got plenty of it this weekend, but we needed it!
So that's all the excitement of my day! I better go and vote for Max's and Erin, Nicole and Derrick, they are my favorite!

Weekend update
What a wonderful weekend it was, although it rained, it still was a good one. Friday night, Tom and I went to Brandon's baseball game. It was cold, but the rain held off. After the game, the 3 of us went to Applebee's for supper and then we came home and relaxed. Tom ended up taking Brandon to his friends house, so we had the weekend to ourselves.
Saturday was my jewelry and candle party. I woke up at 7am to get ready, the house needed to be cleaned and I had things I needed to do to get ready for the party. I bought lunch meat and small buns for sandwiches. I also bought veggies and made some uncle Dan's dip, thanks to Grandma, she gave me a couple packets. Uncle Dan's dip is the best! It was great party, I think I had about 25 to 20 people stop by. It was an open house, so people came and went on their own. I ended up with about $400 in jewelry and $60 in candles. I'm excited, so now I have to decide what I want, the fun now begins. After the party, Kristi and I went to Courtside, there was a benefit for a friend of Chris's, he played softball with him and he has a brain tumor or something like that. It's pretty scary! We sure can not take life for granted because we never know what's going to happen tomorrow. Tom went out with Chris so after the party, Kristi and I met them out there. It was good night, lots of people and friends I haven't seen in a while. We got home about 10:30 or so.
Today was a lazy day. It was raining and gloomy all day so I spent most of my day on the couch. It was a perfect day. Tom and I left to go get his truck that was at Chris's house, but other then that, we did nothing! We watched a few movies, The Proposal and now Armageddon. We just got done eating supper and again, I'm sitting her on the couch, not the hangover chair, blogging! Tom's down helping Brandon with his bike and Micayla had to work tonight.
Tom starts 2nd shift tomorrow :( I'm really not looking forward to the evenings, it's definitely going to be different. I thought about doing some Jazzercise tonight, but I wanted to hang out with my hubby. I can work on it tomorrow since he won't be home. I think his hours are 3:00 to 11:30 or 3:30 to 11:00 - I can't remember.

Hump day
Today was a day I wish would be over. I'm just in one of those moods today. I have no reason why, but all I can say is 'it's one of those days".
Work went pretty good, until I found out that all the "company wide, or should I say facility wide" emails I have been getting were all out of Burr Ridge, IL. This is where the director of our department is located and some how, I have been put on there email list, like I work there. I was beginning to wonder what was going on and until today, I kind of figured it out. I'm not on the Dubuque emails, until now. But let me explain how I figured this out! Tomorrow is "take your son/daughter to work day" so I asked Brandon to go. The age limit is 12, he just turned 13, so don't tell anyone. But anyway, a few weeks back there was an email that came through about this and I asked Brandon and he wanted to come to work with me, so I filled out all the paperwork and sent the form through inter-office mail. I wasn't sure who the person was that I was sending it to, but didn't think anything of it, until today! I got an email about everything going on and what the day is going to consist of for the kids and when I got to the lunch part, it was pizza from a place I have not heard of, so I asked Nikki about it, because she's bringing Lexi. She came over to my office and was like, "Rach, that must be your department, because we are having Pizza Hut" ring, ring, ring! OMG It finally clicked, it was for the Burr Ridge, IL (Chicago area) information that I was reading. So the inter-office mail I sent, well, I'm not sure where that went, but I called HR in Burr Ridge and she was like I was wondering, because I didn't recognize your name.. Come on, you could have searched me. But oh well. So I quickly called our HR and got everything straightened out and called Pizza Hut so Brandon and I had something to eat for lunch tomorrow, but I just keep shaking my head. So of course, I had to call to get my email all changed. I was wondering why I never got any emails for the Dubuque facility, but of course, never thought anything of it. I know crazy huh?
One other thing that happened today that really sucked is Tom sent me a text message and said he has to go to 2nd shift starting next week :( I'm really bummed, I wasn't expecting it to be so soon. I know Tom wasn't either. I or we knew it was going to happen, but until the time came we just didn't think about it. One big thing that sucks is if he's working 2nd shift, he's going to miss Chris and Kristi's wedding. He's going to check to see if he has any vacation/personal days, like me I get 2 days, but he doesn't think he does. So for now, it's going to take some getting used to. His hours will be 3 to 11:30.
On a lighter note, today was Brandon's last day of confirmation, thank God, because it's getting way to nice outside to be going to religion. Micayla wanted to drive "her" car, so we took my old car and she drove, she's been doing such a good job. Oh and I love my new Ford Edge but I am going to miss my ole car. I'm glad we are keeping it in the family. She starts drivers ed on May 3rd! We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings, it was so good, then to Sam's. I got a few things for my jewelry/candle party that's happening this Saturday. I think I have about 15 to 20 people coming, so hopefully it will turn out pretty good.

One year ago!
How time flies. Today was the day I married my best friend. I kept thinking all day during different times of the day what we were doing last year at this exact moment. The first time I thought about it was when I was getting up about 9:30 and thinking, huh, I was probably drinking a mimosa, I have no idea how to spell that word, but it's the OJ and champagne drink, while we were getting our hair and make up done. Then about 2:00 I thought, wow, I was probably just walking down the aisle, with tears in my eyes. What an awesome memory.
Tom and I, for our anniversary, thought we weren't going to buy each other anything, just because we didn't really need anything. But the other day, we went golfing together after work and I decided I wanted new golf clubs, so I was going to get new clubs until we decided to go out and about Saturday and Tom needed an oil change in his truck, so they had an opening at Finnin Ford, so while we were waiting for his truck, I wanted to test drive a Ford Edge. Tom knew the salesman out there so we got talking to him and he showed us a 2008, loaded, Ford Edge. We were hooked. I said to Tom, OK, I don't want golf clubs for our anniversary, I want a new car. LOL We both really liked it and it seemed the price was right, so we went with it. They got us the price we were after so we bought it! It's Ice Blue, huge sun roof, sync, so I can call hands free and listen to what I want on my Ipod. It's so cool. It even beeps when I'm backing up so it tells me when I'm getting too close. I absolutely love it. We decided not to trade my car in because Micayla will be driving here soon and of course, she's going to need a car so we decided to let her us my old car. I know what you're all thinking, wow, I remember my 1st car! Mine was a red chevette! LOL - Luke and I discussed that this afternoon when he called us to wish us a Happy Anniversary. He got all my beat up junk cars. Sorry Luke. Thanks for thinking of us today, that was nice of you to call.
So as I'm sitting here thinking about this past year, wow, has a lot happened. We got married, I became a step mother, bought a new house, sold Tom's old house, found out we are losing our jobs at Thermo Fisher Scientific, and found a new job. What a busy year! I hope the next year is just at wonderful.
Tom is the best the husband, right now he's upset because he can't watch TV. I have 2 things recording and I'm not watching either one and it won't let you watch anything else unless you stop one of the recordings and I can't do that, so the TV is off. Sorry sweetie! Oh, I almost forgot we took our wedding cake out of the freezer last night and we all ate a piece tonight. Tom fed me a piece and I fed him one. I couldn't believe it, but it was still very good. The frosting was a little crusty, but the cake was very moist.
So now on to more memories, I'm hoping one thing happens this year, I'm definitely reading to be hearing a screaming baby in this house. I can't wait and I know one day, it will happen.

Jazzercised out!
Today, I'm exhausted!
I just got home from a long day. It all started out with Jazzercise at 5:45am, then work from 8 to 4:30 and to the Chiropractor. After that, Jazzercise again at 5:45pm, this time! Yeah, I had to teach twice today. Now can you see why I"m exhausted??
3 Jazzercise instructors went to New Orleans for an instructor only Jazzercise convention. They left today and get back on Monday or Tuesday, I can't remember. Since they are gone, the girls here have to step up and help with other classes. So I decided to take tonight since I don't have to teach Friday mornings, I can sleep in any extra hour and a half. After class, I met Tom and Micayla at the new Point cafe. Tom and I had chicken and Micayla had a cheeseburger. It was pretty good, the chicken came with hashbrowns, salad and green beans. The beans weren't the best, but everything else was very good.
Last night, there was supposedly a Meteor. It happened about 10:00 last night. Here's a link, copy and paste it, it's pretty crazy! http://www.liveleak.com/player4.swf?config=http://www.liveleak.com/flash_config_new2.php?token=09f_1259107748&embed=1
So last night we were laying in bed, and I just opened the blinds a little to get some air in because it's been kind of sticky so the air felt really good. But all of a sudden, I saw a big flash of light, it seemed like a cop light or something, but I guess it was the Meteor as you can see. It was pretty cool, even though I really didn't know what was going on, I just went to sleep.
I'm going to bed, I will blog more this weekend.

Monday's :)
Another Monday gone. Wow, did today fly? We have been getting pretty busy at work, so the days are just flying by, which is the way I want it.
At lunch today, I went into the work out center that we have access to, and rode on the stationary bike. This is one privilege we have for working there. It really nice, they have 2 elliptical's, 4 treadmills, 2 stationary bikes and 2 other bikes that look like racing bikes and are very intimidating to say the least. They also have 2 different weight machines, free weights and lots of exercise equipment. The bike I have been riding is awesome, it has settings for random and other interval exercises. I usually ride for about 23 minutes or so and then it takes me through a cool down segment, so I'm usually in and out in 30 minutes. This leaves me 15 minutes to eat my lunch. It works out perfectly. I like to get out and walk as well, but lately my shin splints have been acting up, so riding the bike, it takes that pressure off my chins, but the next couple of days are supposed to be super nice so I'm going to try and get outside. The gym gets so hot, so by the time I'm done with the bike, I'm sweating. I have been changing my shirt, but sometimes that's just a pain in the rear. But I tell you what, it definitely gives me a boost of energy for the afternoon.
I was going to blog about my weekend, but I forgot I already did. That would have been bad! LOL I don't even remember blogging - Its just so much fun, I can hardly take it!
Tom's mocking me, because he's trying to watch 24 and I'm just trying away and he's pretending to be typing and making the sound I'm making when I push the keys. He's just jealous I put my fingers on the "home keys" LOL
I'm on my work laptop and I thought about going on and doing some work, because I didn't get it all done today, but it can wait until tomorrow. We got an email from our manager today and asked if anyone would like to volunteer for the our summer picnic, well, I said sure right away, not know they only needed one volunteer per department, so since I was the first one to respond, I got volunteered, so now I'm on a committee! After I read the email, I probably should have let someone who's been with McGraw-Hill longer, but then again, they might want some fresh ideas. They are passing along the previous activities and we have come up with other ideas. I think the picnic is sometime in June and it's from noon to 4 or something like that, so we will get out of work for it! I think that's the best part! So I have to send out a few emails in our department asking for any suggestions. So I think I might just do that now!
Have a good week everyone!
Campfire night
Last night after work, Tom and I went to the Yardarm for a few cocktails with friends from ThermoFisher. Yesterday was a bunch of people's last day. It would have been mine if stayed, but thank God I didn't! I love my new job at McGraw-Hill. So we had a few drinks out on the deck, it was so nice outside. Chris and Kristi joined us as well. She said they need to take advantage of drinking together, because once I'm pregnant, I can't drink. It was just an excuse. LOL There was a band that played later on in the night, I can't remember the name of the band, but they were pretty good. They played some oldies and goodies. Tom and I were so hungry, so we decided to leave and go to Salsa's for Mexican. It was so good!
This morning, we slept in, until mom called, of course, but it was 10:30 when she called, so I think it was time to get up. My cousin, Laura, had a Silpada jewelry party so I went over there for a while and mom met me as well. Kristi and I were going to go, but we thought it started later in the afternoon and here it started at 10:00 to noon. She had an appointment to get her dress altered, and I think that was much more important than going to a jewelry party! Plus that jewelry is super expensive. I did find a cute ring that I bought, but I really didn't need it. I'm having a jewelry party in 2 weeks, on the 24th. It's Premier Design jewelry so I'm excited, not that I need any jewelry, but you know, we all love it. Along with the jewelry party, I am having a Gold Canyon candle party. This lady was after me to have a party, so I decided to have 2 in1. I think it will work out good. There are a lot of new "spring" scents and we all love candles too!
Tom and I got a new camera. It's a Nikon something and it seems to take awesome pictures. I will have to post some new pics on here soon! But tonight, I"m too lazy.
We went up to my in-laws for supper tonight. Linda made chicken breast, broccoli and pasta noodles, along with a salad and rolls. It was delicious! We picked up Brandon and his friend along with there bikes and they came home with us tonight. They are in the basement now playing. They are so funny to listen to, we were sitting out by the fire and they were talking about bikes and how he wants to build his own bike and his friends are conniving each other for parts and trading things. Its funny how their minds think.
Tonight was a perfect night for a campfire. It was about 60 degrees or so and we had a good fire going for a while, but we decided to call it a night to come in and watch a movie. We might watch "The Fourth Kind" the boys said it was really good, but for now, Tom and I are both on our laptops so the movie probably wont happen tonight.

Negative :(
So this morning I woke up to take my pregnancy test and sure enough, it was negative. Once I was done peeing, I noticed I got you know what! What a waste of a test. I should have waited one more day. Oh well. So now, starting Saturday, I will take another dose of Clomid. They upped my dosage to 150mg instead of 100mg. Hopefully it will work this time!
I don't really have much to blog about, so I guess this will be short and sweet!
Tonight I got home from work and Tom brought home Papa Murphy's pizza. I was very good, we had the chicken delight. Tom and I were talking about our day and he was telling me how his day was. It was so nice to talk about each others day, now that we don't really know what each other does, unlike Thermo Fisher, we knew exactly what everyone was doing. So he was telling me about his day. He said it's very busy, or the work he does, he can only do it. If something else needs to be done and it's not within his department, he can't even touch it. It's the union thing and this is something that he has to get used to. I'm sure it wont take too long. But from the sound of it, he enjoyed his day today.
Tomorrow after work, we are going to the yard arm for a few drinks with some old work buddies. Tomorrow would have been the last day of work for me at Thermo Fisher. Thank God I don't have to deal with that! I love my new job and I wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world.
Other than that for the weekend, we have nothing planned. So hopefully it's a relaxing one. I did get a call from mom and she is having dinner, pork chops and something else, on Sunday so we will head up there for dinner.

Another rainy Wednesday!
So I started out the morning, first thing with a pregnancy test, well, I guess I should begin with last night when I went to look for the test. I knew I had one, one a friend had given me because she wasn't going to need it anymore, since she had her last baby, that was it! So I knew I had one and once I found it, I took it out of the box and on the wrapper it read "expiration date 2007"! So needless to say, I still tried it. Well, once I peed on it it all turned blotchy pink, so I'm assuming since it was expired, it didn't work. If it did, I have no idea how to read it. So after work today, I went to Walgreen's to purchase a new test! So until tomorrow, since I haven't got my period today, I guess I will take another test. So again, wish me luck. Wouldn't it be nice to have Clomid be successful on the first try! If only it were that easy.
Work has been very busy. I have been training a new girl who started on Monday in our department. She worked for the company before so she knows a few things, but Salesforce is new to everyone! Tomorrow I have to start training on CRM Helpdesk, this is what I interviewed for before Thanksgiving last year. They hired 2 people internally and now my position is the backup for when one of them are gone. I thought it was kind of funny. I like what I"m doing much better then that all day. But backing them up won't be too bad, it will just make me all that more knowledgeable! So I'm excited to get trained.
Tom's watching the Cubs and it looks like they are losing :( Oh well, what's new? He finished he fork lift training today at work and they thought forsure he has done this before, but he hasn't, so he impressed them! Tomorrow he starts working 7 to 3:30. He was liking getting off at 2:30 but for now, he will be working 7 to 3:30 until he's all trained then he will be on 2nd shift.
I'm just sitting here in the hang over chair with my Ipod, ready to listen to the new songs I just put in for my Jazzercise class tomorrow morning. The one is kind of tricky, so I decided to blog first then listen!
So wish me luck again and I will keep you all informed. All who's reading anyway! LOL

Thunderstorms are in the air!
Last night, the thunder roared! It was one of the first big thunderstorms of the year. It was awesome, although they kept me up some of the night, it awesome to lay in bed and listen to the rain. At one point, the dog scratched on the door because she was scared, so we just let her into our room. I read on Micayla's facebook that the storms kept her up as well, plus her brother ended up in her room. Yeah, Brandon is pretty scared of thunderstorms. He's fine if he goes to bed when its not raining, but if it's raining and thundering he's got the news channel on to check for warnings and he has a hard time going to bed. When I first started dating Tom or I should say living with him, Brandon's room was right off ours and he would sleep on the floor next to the bed. Once in a while he would sleep in between us, but that didn't last too long. He was fine as long he wasn't in his own bed. Oh well, that's was we're for right? To comfort our kids.. So now they are calling for more thunderstorms that should be here in about an hour and there is a tornado warning as well, so we have good sleeps tonight!
In a couple of minutes Dancing with the Stars start. I'm hoping Kate or Buzz goes. I think they are the worse of them all.
Tom had a much better day at work today, he said he got to his department and he got all his tools and got assigned a workbench. Tomorrow he has fork lift training and goes in to work at 6 again. After tomorrow he will work 7 to 3:30, not bad huh? They informed him that he will NOT have to work in the cold room, since he won't be the low man on the totem pole. The 2 other guys that started with him must have a higher/lower social number. I guess they go by the last 4 digits when you start on the same day. So he lucked out. I guess the cold room gets to -40 degrees and they have to run test in the cold room. No thanks! They also informed him that he will be on days for about 60 to 90 days or until they feel he's trained, then they told him he will get bumped to 2nd. It will suck, but we do what we have to do. Hopefully it won't last long.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to finally take a pregnancy test! Yes that's right, today is day 27 of my cycle and no period. My last 3 cycles have been either 24 or 26 days so I guess I'm just going to go for it and take the test first thing tomorrow morning! So wish me luck everyone!
OMG - I'm so sick of watching the weather warnings. Dancing with the stars is on and all I'm looking at is the live news weather.. come on already! If it's not the weather warnings, it the satellite dish going out. Finally, here is Dancing....

Easter weekend
What a busy weekend. I can't believe it's already Sunday night and we are getting ready for the week ahead.
Last night, we all went to Mom and Dad's for Grandma's 87th birthday! No one would ever know she's 87 - she gets around great! Mom made spaghetti and meatballs, it was very good. We had a great night just visiting with family, again! Yeah, we spent the entire weekend with the family! LOL Don't get me wrong, I love them all, but I know you know what I mean, if you know my family.
Sunday, we got up for 8:00 Easter mass. After that, we went to Tom's grandparents for a few danishes and milk and orange juice. We went to Tom's uncle's house around 12:39 and then to Nikki's about 3:30. We had lots to eat. Both places had turkey and ham, but both cooked totally different. Chuck smoked the turkey and ham so the taste was so different than up at Tom's uncles house. Both were excellent. Of course, we had cheesy potatoes, green beans, salads and lots of other different foods. All wonderful.
Tomorrow's the big day for Tom. He gets to get up with me bright and early, me for Jazzercise and him for John Deere. He's so excited to get started. He has everything ready to go! 6am to going to come early. He was asking me, "what time do you get up in the morning for Jazzercise?" I said 4:45 and he was like OK, I guess I can get up at that time. He will have to leave the house by 5:30 to be to work at 6. Good luck sweetie, I know you will do awesome!
Well, I can't think of anything else to talk about. Have a great week and we will blog again.

13th birthday
Today, or I guess I should say yesterday, Brandon turned 13. Yeah, April 1st! Today, Friday we had a party. It was a great night, lots of great snacks and good company. I was thinking, 4 years ago, I was invited for the first time to Brandon's 9th birthday, this is when I became apart of the Hillebrand family. From then on, well, it's history...or so it goes.
Here are a few pictures from tonight:
Mom and Kristi trying to get the box of pita chip open: Don't they look serious?
We also had some special guest tonight as well, Tom's cousin, Brandi, brought her dog, Murphy. He and Patches just had a blast playing with each other. Patches was just exhausted by the time they left. She didn't know what to think, someone in her territory. She kept trying to hump Murphy and the dog's fixed. We don't understand it.
It was a good night, we even got to skype with Leah tonight, so that made the night all that better. Linda was here and said she couldn't believe how big she's getting and can't wait to keep her all night at her house in May.
Here are a few more pictures. Note the new floor rug. We got this from Brenda with Jazzercise, she emailed me the other day and asked if we would be interested in an area rug, so I said maybe, so Tom and I went over to their house to check it out and the colors on it seemed to match the kitchen/dining room, so we decided to take it. Well, it was perfect! Tom and I rolled it out and just left it in the basement for a couple days and when Kristi got her tonight, I asked her to come look at it to see if it would "match" and I was like "we should just try it" so we did. Tom was gone and no one else was her yet, so we brought it upstairs, moved the table and chairs, rolled it out, vacuumed it and put the table back and I love it! It matches so perfect, it has the maroon color from the kitchen and the greens from the dining room, plus it has some beige and other blended colors. I think it looks really good and as I sit her and look at it, I'm really glad we went out to look at it. It would have cost us about $500 to purchase one this big. Well, here's a few pictures, just random ones from tonight. (notice the area rug under the table)
Here are 2 pictures of Murphy and Patches. Brandi brought them each a treat and they both picked a separate place on the new area rug to each their bones.
Well, that enough for tonight. We have 4 boys here tonight. 3 boys are spending the night with Brandon. I'm just excited to be able to sleep in tomorrow. I hope they don't wake me up. I'm sure they wont keep me up as I had a few beers tonight and I'm feeling really relaxed right now.
Lot's going on this weekend. Tomorrow, Grandmas turns 87 - Holy Crap - I can't believe it. She gets around so great. We love you Grandma. We are heading up to mom and dad's tomorrow for spaghetti and meatballs to celebrate her birthday.
Sounded like Tom just got locked in the bathroom LOL. He got out! Now, off to bed!
Oh, here's a pic of Bob aka "boner" and his daughter Brandi (Murphy's owner)
And the bob - he wanted a new pic for his facebook profile. I thought this turned out good.
This blogging thing is finally getting easier. It's not as bad posting pictures anymore.
It rained all day, that's why we were inside all night. Last night, Tom and I sat outside and had a fire. It was beautiful out, but tonight, it rained. It was raining since about 4;00. The boys were out playing basketball in the rain and came in drenched, but it wasn't super cold, just wet.
Ok, I'm going to bed!
